Beach Dinner We went to Temptations in July of 2010. The only time we used our card was to purchase the beach dinner at the front desk. We had had the same card for years with no problems. A few months later we got a call that our card had been used in Texas to purchase some online stuff. The only place it could have happened was there. Having said that, it was so much fun I would find a payment option to get there however you can.
Wow - I hate to hear about things like this at TTR but at least if they are going on everyone should know so we know not to use our cards or if we do to watch them closely. Thanks Gary!
I'm just going to write them a check and drop it in the mail with a delivery confirmation/tracking info. It does sure sound like they are having issues with the security of credit card data though, either them or their merchant bank.
When in the states and I travel (which I only do every other week ) I use mostly AmEx, but always carry a visa and mastercard since not every place takes AmEx. Outside of the states the AmEx stay home and I take an extra mastercard.

We were at Temp. in early September and decided to make a call home. We had to wait, because service guys were working on several pay phones. After about an hour, we went down, used our mastercard and made the call. We only made the one call, and this was the only time we used our card down there. When we got home, we got a call from MC saying they had opened an investigation. The card had been compromised as there was a 2nd call made on it, according to mc they were testing the card out on the phone before they made a string of purchases. Lucky for us, they spotted it and killed our card before we even got home. We head back in April, and will ask them about this issue - seems they are having a lot of problems with this judging by this thread.
get a prepaid cc. amex offers one for free that comes in 1-2 weeks with your name printed on it. and they offer all the protection (including free travel ins for trips booked with it) at no additional cost. and you can load from your checking acct or with a moneypac.
