We arrive late as well. Do they overbook and send people elsewhere often? We have friends gettin in on an earlier flight. If we get bumped, were gonna be rotted! Craig and Sue
Are we there yet, Are we there yet, Are we there yet, Are we there yet......... Rut ro..... how true is this being "bumped?" Hubby and I booked back in January..... if you get bumped, is it for your entire vacation or just 1 day? Is there any way to make sure you don't get bumped?
Most hotels will overbook by 10 % to make sure they have a full house. But I must say I do not know 100% about RESORTS, there is a big difference. The hotel chain I worked for, when they over booked, they would bump the last people to arrive for the day. It made no difference when they booked their reservations. Majority of the time it was a bump for 1 night, knowing others would be checking out the next day. So if you are NOT arriving at night, I would not be too concerned about it. For those that have others arriving the same day but earlier, I would make sure to do the express check in and advise in the comments field the name of the other people you are going with and request a room by them. Then follow up with an e-mail directly requesting the same thing.
We arrive at 11am on the 13th so I'm hoping we should be OK. However it IS Friday the 13th :lighting1:!!!
We are also arriving on Friday the 13th!! Prolly not getting to the hotel until approx 1:00 p.m. I think we land around noon.... If you guys get the first round..... we'll buy the second! See y'all there!
Carol, if they bump you, come find me, as I get there 4 days before you. Assuming I don't get bumped when I arrive at 10:30 p.m. on the 16th, you can share my room til you get your own, so long as you don't mind sharing the king bed with me I promise I'll stay on my side!
