First thing I do when I get to my room is tip the bell boy and put all my money in the safe. I keep small amounts with me in my beach bag...enough to do me daily. OMG...only 44 more sleeps !!!

Get some 20-peso bills for tips. Whatever the paper is they are made out of, it holds up 10x better when wet than US money.

I just don't want to carry my wallet with me. Just something to bring my whatever around so it is safe. Beach bag is a good idea. Has anyone had issues with things going missing?

The CDN bills that are printing now are on this plastic paper. Really cool - they can get wet and it doesn't matter. Just don't put them through the dryer. But those bills are a PITA for tipping down south I guess.

Just be sure not to take torn or damaged bills cause the staff has a hard time spending them. We usually end up trading out bills with friends on the staff before we leave if we have any extra cash left.

I've only seen the CDN plastic bill in $100...do you guys have them in the smaller denomination already?? It feels the same as the mexican dollars. But in the meantime, I bring US money with me.

I use a office clip for a money clip and just keep it in my pocket, even in the pool. The bartenders have never minded a wet tip. I also use american cash.
