We noticed a girl going down on her guy for a few minutes at the sexy pool. The bartenders actually pointed it out and were cracking up. It was pretty enjoyable watching the bartenders talk about it. She stopped by the time security saw her, so they got away with it.

I know of a couple that got away with having sex in the ocean. There weren't many people around and it wasn't real noticible (at least I hope not) :biggrinbandit:

I don't think the majority are saying they go looking for this. At least we aren't saying that. When alcohol kicks in, people begin to take different risks that they wouldn't take when sober. And that's where the fun comes in to play. We are referring to some things we have done when everyone is having a great time, had more then our fair share of liquor for the evening and find ourselves being spontaneous and a bit crazier. However, this still does not give you the right to be rude to staff or security or to disrespectful if they tell you that you can't do something. The whole key is to have some class and enjoy yourself without being a spectacle or going overboard to warrant getting kicked out.

Personally, we have been to Desire twice before, both once in Cancun, and once in Cabo, before it became TTR. While anything goes there, there are still places where it is allowed, and not allowed in reference to sex in public. But the atmosphere at times can be more like a free for all at times rather then the atmosphere that permeates TTR! Everyone always says, it's the people that make TTR great, and that's the truth! We've been enough places to attest to that! That's why we keep going back, while not going back to Desires. While your argument is politically correct, I, think it lacks the spirit of the law rather then the letter of the law. Spontaneous fun can and should be had while at TTR, or hell, everywhere fun people can be found! A lot of people like to have sex in public places, but do so, quietly, or respectfully of others. There's a certain rush to it, knowing that if they get caught, they could get in trouble, but the adrenaline and anticipation of it, is almost like an orgasm for them. You'd be a fool to think that this didn't happen probably weekly in your hometown everywhere, whether in a parking lot, a parked car, in the bushes at an Ohio State game with thousands of people walking by (I plead the 5th), out on the lawn of an amphitheatre in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, not realizing a homeless person may be on a bench watching 10' away (again, might just be passing on information and plead the 5th) on the beach, at a family resort in the pool, etc.! We've walked up and down the beach before at night, or by the sexy pool, and seen many people having sex, and not, 'we're trying to hide it sex', with security watching while leaned up against a tree smoking a cigarette, and not saying a word. We've seen groups loud and out of control, and disrespectful that are asked to leave the area, and then others that security or staff doesn't seem to care or notice. The difference has always been, are you drawing too much attention to yourself, or are you being spontaneous without letting the entire resort in on your secret at that moment. While you say "you can always go to Desires, I'm gonna disagree this time. Half the fun of TTR, even in broad day light at the sexy people is for people who push the envelope, and do things they probably have never done before. Just because the staff doesn't endorse it at night or in public, keep pushing the envelope at night in other places, just do so while being respectful and quiet, and keep making memories that last a lifetime. I've NEVER seen anyone that was making new memories on the beach, in the ocean, in one of the pools, get kicked out when they were quiet or respectful of others.

This was not personally aimed at you Jaimie, just providing a counter argument to your response! Ed

We agree with Jamie. We just got back yesterday from a fun-filled trip to TTR Cancun (callout to Ang & Kev, Bill & Chris, George and Vicki, et. al.). Based on what we saw happening all week long at the Sexy Pool and other places on Hotel Grounds (as late as 4am), if the Hotel approaches you to stop some type of behavior, YOU WERE REALLY COLORING WAY OUTSIDE THE LINES ! Heck -- we did some things at the Sexy Pool Bar after several shots on Friday that pushed the envelope a bit -- but we were cool about it, didn't do it for 10 minutes straight, and didn't try to draw attention to ourselves.

If you want to have Hotel supported public sex, this is not the place for you. However, quiet balcony shows, activities at the Sexy Pool that are not getting anyones attention, screaming and moaning (from your room) - happen probably every day - at least every day we were there last week ! I think the building we were in was mostly nocturnal -- multiple rooms carrying on ALL NIGHT LONG, EVERY NIGHT (LOL -- but not kidding !) ! ! !

Brewster, agree completely and hope it does not happen this year because in the beginning of May last year security was right.
Agree with Jamie on this one. If you are going past the limits of TTR, move to a resort where it is ok. No big deal to us as, we are definitely not prudes, but understand that goin so far to get warned just brings the 'heat' of security on as they don't want it to get crazy.
Also, if someone is doing something I find inappropriate to my spouse, don't expect a drink and conversation from me!

Dont know what happened and wasn't there so I may have been speaking out of turn I guess. If someone disrespects your spouse then yeah ya need to deal with it... but people need to keep somewhat of a level head in everything they do. NO ONE wants security so why bring the heat? If you are warned then yeah you had better stop what ever it is you were doing for the sake of you and all the others.

We are not prudes either and we definitely are not the types to "put on a show". Just we also aren't ignorant enough to think that there are MANY different types in this worls and what they see as inappropriate. According to the pictures and the vast majority of the posts we have read on here it has lead me to believe the rules of the resort are most definitely NOT followed to the letter. So why the insistance on switching resorts???

We just want to come and have fun like everyone else. I posed the question as just a formality to see where the "boundaries" are so we don't ruin ours or anyone elses' vacation. Being newbies we don't want to tread down the wrong path and make enemies rather than friends. ALL of your posts have been very helpful and insightful as to what the do's and don'ts are... basically, play by the rules in "good judgement" and if warned at all then stop?

Not so worried about what would get us kicked out, but FAR more interested in what we could do so that they'd never let us leave...ideas?

Small keyboard, meant security was tight in May. From what I was told things got outta hand a few weeks earlier and the security was clamping down. It was not oppressive, but we noticed a difference from past trips. Since they rarely kick anyone out, a few can cause 'heat' from security.

Yes that was the famous Brits, who caused a bunch of problems in early april.

They were ridiculous, but sometimes these things happen.

this is more a problem with thompson in the uk letting single guys think they are going to have a free for all.

    they were rude for sure...

but even worse, they were horrid dancers, and they all danced together :)

Ya we got there april 4th and to say security was tight would be an understatement. Here's to hoping this year won't be that way
