Thank you my friend...We as Christians got to learn to keep it real and stop being so STUFFY....I refuse to be part of the Chosen Frozen.:huepfen013:
15 years I have be going to bbg/Temptations ANNUALLY for over 15 years.. quite a few years ago they did a documentary on british tv about all the shennanigans that apperently went on at blue bay getaway..I got so STRESSED defending the place and myself.... so now when all my friends and collegues say oh its that time of year Sue´s off to her swingers resort .. I just smile and say yes I am and I have a lot of fun and you are only jealous..
That is funny...we took a picture once of an old falling down hotel down the beach from TTR and told the kids we were moving. We made sure that the soccer goals were in the pics though. Our boys play soccer and said they would be in if they could play soccer on the beach all day. Our daughter said she would be fine just laying in the sun.
We usually start with we are headed to Cancun, get the "Is it safe there?"....lol We laugh and respond we really don't leave our resort. We usually tell people it is an adult only resort that has a wild frat party side and a quiet side. (We know it has a quiet side because those are the rooms we like and we like to get our drinks at that bar). When we first started going 10 years ago we just replied with a place called Blue Bay. Now we sometimes just refer to it as Blue Bay but most people that we are good friends with know it is Temptation.
We answer the "Is it safe in Cancun" question by saying that we don't think it is and are going to switch to an Italian cruise:icon_frown:
1. Going to Cancun ..........for work 2. Thanks for watching the kids and dogs and cats and neighbors and giving us a ride to the airport 3.We will call when we get there 4.Pick us up at 7:30 on Thursday 5.Thanks again for everything .............. Everything else is on a need to know basis
It's my first time going and I wasn't quite aware of what the atmosphere is at Temptations so I told everyone where I'm going. Now they know what it is and no one seems to care and neither do I. I deserve to go have some fun, and who cares what anyone else thinks. Brian
I so understand where you are coming from!! My dad is also a pastor & Ed was raised Jehovahs Witness & his whole family is still part of the church (he however is not) so they do not know nor would they understand our "lifestyle" or going to a resort like TTR. I also had to laugh at your statement about how a strict christian childhood turns us out the way we are. I was raised in a VERY overly strict home & grew up going to an over the top conservative church & do believe that had alot to do with my liberal way of thinking & living now. Too many rules & restrictions while growing up has a way of making one want to live the opposite when they are on their own & able to make their own decisions.
