No it had nothing to do with tipping. It was a management thing. Bartenders were instructed not to fill these one year. We have been going to TTR since the Blue Bay days & love it. However management always seems to be tweaking things & sometimes not for the better. Never keeps us away though as we adjust & keep on partying & enjoying the resort & its people :liebe011:
Ok so I was all set to order some Bubba mugs off Amazon after reading all the comments on the different threads here. I first ofdered some 20 oz ones & just got them the other day but when we got them they looktiny & look like we'd be needing to fill them ALOT so I went to order the next size up which are the 34 oz & went to read the reviews on them & over half the people gave them really bad reviews & they all sid the same thing that they had problems with the lids not fitting right 7 that they leaked everywhere when trying to drink them. Now I dont know whether or not i should order us some. For those that have them have ou had this problem also?
This is our personal favorite, 20oz. By the time you're ready for a refill it is still cold enough, besides 20oz or 34oz x 30+ drinks a day still equals "DRUNK"
To follow up, our 34 oz Bubbas worked like champs. They filled them up all the way every time and we had no leakage issues. There was never a drink that went warm...even frozen drinks stayed frozen until they were gone. That might be an indictment as to how fast we drink, though...
And remember to save packing space, I plan on putting my bikini bottoms in my Bubba Mug to put in suitcase. So it will be pretty funny if TSA pulls it out to check out the metal band!! I like the idea of a sticker or something or we will all be getting our Bubbas mixed up for sure Kelly
Ok....another question for those that have the 34 oz did u get the barrel shape or the kind that fit in cup holders. I thought the ones that would fit in cup holders would be nice for when we're home & trips to fit in the holders in our truck but wasnt sure how stable theyd be if we set them down somewhere as far as tipping over.
I debated same thing, but went with the barrel shaped ones as I thought incidence of tipping would be high. Don't want to waste any alcohol!
