You summed it up better (and with many less words) than me. I don't mind TA for people who actually put their experience, but I'd rather not read someone's jaded opinion. By the way - for a good read, search TA for "Earthquake the ride" in Gatlinberg TN. If you've ever been there, and had the good fortune to try this "ride" out - you'll be pissing yourself when you read it.
We southern guys know a great place to unwind when we see one don't we GNCNEW..... I just wish we didn't have to wait until June to go this year.....grrrrr. I am sooo ready now !

Naked Elevator Roulette?????!!!!! Please explain--I want to play! As for TA, I've noticed a lot of bad reviews come from one-time posters. I tend to believe reviews from posters who've submitted numerous reviews and have stayed in a variety of places--they have better perspective. I discount anyone who just mentions sweeping generalities ("the food was bad"...really? Every morsel?) or who talks about things the hotel couldn't control (loved the recent one that ranted about timeshare sharks...at the AIRPORT and the OCEAN temperature...as if TTR should fix those!)
Best thing to do is write your own truthful trip report. I use tripadvisor alot, but I discount the reviews from people that seem too fussy. I think they contain lots of valuable info, you just have to read lots of reviews to find it. We just got back from TTR and my tripadvisor review went up a few days after we got back. We loved the resort, are so glad we went and chose to ignore the bad review. We will be back!
If you go to TTR and do not have a good time, you have no one to blame except yourself! It is just that simple!
last review entitled " Worst vacation ever" !!! He also mentions that it was his 7th trip, 4th time in the past year. What am I missing here??
