I hope it's a king cause that's what we booked. I didn't see anywhere on the Temptations website where they even have double bed rooms. I think the "double deluxe vs. king" is a UK thing. You know, like McDonalds in Europe don't have 1/4 lb cheeseburgers, but instead have a "royale w/ cheese" that's essentially the same thing. Maybe the Brits don't recognize the term "king size bed"??? That's my theory anyway, of course I may be dissappointed when I get there.
Ok, we are all book and ready to go, now just the waiting..... We will be there the last week of June, for our first trip. woo hoo!! SF
Well, well, well... We did some more investigating tonight and found Apple had jumped up their prices $400 this week alone. Maybe the raising gas prices are to blame. But we were looking at around $2100 for 7 days and now it's around $2500. So Alpha is getting a second look as I am writing this. How is Alpha to use for Americans, since it seems to be a British company? Thanks Jeff n Jill
I had no problems booking through Alpha. Credit card worked fine, although there is a $19 charge for using it ($9 for debit). I got a confirmation, invoice and vocuher within minutes after booking. Of course I will call the hotel just to be sure they have my reservation, but it looks like everything is good to go, and I saved a lot over any other place I looked.
I think they are going to get my business. 12 days for less than $1300. Haven't found that anywhere else yet.
Wow prices really fluctuate...you got a better deal then we did! We booked 2 wks ago & it was a little under 1500.00 for 12 nts. So you saved about 200 more then we did. Not complaining tho we still saved about 450.00 with them over the nxt cheapest we had found.
We used Alpharooms, too, for the first time. I'll pay the balance next week. I didn't buy the insurance...
