Can't get Alpharooms to Respond to Emails

    The funny thing is, when I enter my Itinerary number with a different date, it returns an error. However, when I use the correct date, it takes a couple of minutes to cycle through, then connects to my bookings which says I have no current bookings...

    Call me old fashion but I still like to work with my trusty ole travel agent. It might cost me a few dollars more ( not usually ) but I sure sleep better when he books my trips. I like to talk to a person who cares about my welfare instead of an "internet entity" that has little empathy for my well being. Value can be measured in other ways besides price. I do however understand to some it is always about the price and it is worth the extra trouble dealing with the big impersonal online travel sites. But to each his own.

    Ok just checked my bookings to see my info and I get the same thing. They say no current bookings also. I have a feeling they may be having issues with there site. I will be checking everyday myself and hope it is just problems with their system for now. I have my vouchers which is all I should need but will still be contacting them to see what is up.

    Thanks for all the responses everyone. Yesterday I signed in to "manage my booking" and sent them a support ticket. Whoever said that was the best way to contact them was right. I got a response a few hours later. They assured me that my booking is confirmed. They said they reserve a block of rooms at the hotel and that it would be a couple of weeks before they send them my details. I feel better just being able to get in touch with them.

    I was concerned because on other sites I had read about people booking through them and then when they got to the hotel, they didn't have their reservation, and they couldn't get in touch with Alpharooms by phone -- said they held for an hour and a half and finally gave up.

    But I'm going to take off my "worry" hat (which I'm famous for) and start getting excited about the trip. Again, thanks.

    Still no luck. I feel better knowing it's not just me, but I would still like that warm, fuzzy feeling back. I think I'll give them until Tuesday before I make a phone call...

    I hope when you guys are entering your dates into the system to check your bookings you are using British date format - dd/mm/yy

    Most likely your travel agent still books you via a larger impersonal agency and deals with them on your behalf, adding something on top for doing so.

    Looks like they were having server issues. Everything on my end is appearing as it should, now.
