Crap. Didn't even think about seasickness for the boobze cruise. Kati doesn't do well with motion sickness. She'll probably need dramamine or something stronger like our mystery Mexican valium to survive the flight. Pete just needs a cell phone turned to OFF and free-flowing booze. But her dramamine should be worn off by the time we get there for Lingerie casino night...hopefully. If we end up not cruising, we'll make it our mission to finish off any partial bottles of liquor at the bar so y'all have fresh bottles when you return. When the kids were little, they got Dramamine before road trips...they called them "travel vitamins." Nighty night...
There's a little patch that goes behind the ear that you can get from your doctor! Works wonders for seasickness
A great thing (maybe not for everybody) is that dramamine also helps with a hangovers. However what he found by experience in St. Maarten last March was a mixture of Dramamine and many Carib beers made him very mellow, which is complete opposite of his ADD self.
Don't forget a good way to combat sea sickness is to pick a spot n the horizon and look at it. Do that for a couple of minutes and sometimes you can trick your body back from being queasy.
Keith is totally right about focussing on a distant fixed object helping .I've spent 20+ years as a fishing guide in the gulf of Alaska which can get very rough and found focussing on a cloud & fresh air help most folks. Drinking coke or pepsi which is full of phosphoric acid, the active ingredient in anti-vommiting drugs helps also or the old stand by salteen crackers for settling the stomach. try to stay at the middle of the boat to lessen the '"wave effect". Every group I've ever brought out that took dramamine slept the whole trip back....Bonnie seems to work way better .
i won't be much help .the bigger the waves the better.snorkelling might be tough because of currents.but the north beach for swimming is calm
I get seasick very easy also. I get the Dr to give me some pills. Do not remeber the name. But they work better than the patch. The patch works but makes me sleepy. No side effects from the pill. hope you have fun.
