With the discos in Cancun being $50 a pop, would you say that the night entertainment at TTR is enough to keep one happy? Did you find the nightly entertainment to be repetitive or make you want to leave the resort and find a party elsewhere?
We are planning a 14 night stay and I am trying to budget our additional expenses. I am wondering if we should put some money for the discos. We went to Coco Bongo last summer and I can't say I thought it was great... Because of that experience and hearing how TTR is a party place 24/7 I am not too interested in spending money on other discos (is there something better than coco bongo that you enjoyed?). I have other plans on my list other than the discos.

Let me know your opinions! Thank you!

It depends on what it takes to make you happy. We always go for 15 days at a time and YES the night entertainment WILL be repetitive. Now some people find that to be a bad thing, others (like ourselves) turn it into a game. Games like "What song will play next?" lol.

I love to dance, and dance I will. If it's the same song as 2 nights ago, that's fine with me because I'll most likely be hanging out with new people when we hear it. I've heard others say the the music is just background music to them, they are there to socialize. Then there is the person who is never happy and will complain about what the resort offers, to them I say "Then spend the $100 a night and go out, I'm having fun here". So I guess it's to each their own. I go to have fun, and always do.

The clubs are very expensive to go to, so when budgeting your money you might want to "treat" yourself to a night on the town. For us, we have been there, done that, and are now content to party our asses off and have fun at the resort. I'm a people person, I enjoy meeting new people, and staying at TTR works great for us.

Just make sure you budget for one of Steves Boobs Cruises, that's a must!!!!

I'm sure there will be many opinions on this, just figured I'd throw in my 2 cents worth.

Have fun, and remember . . . "NOBODY KNOWS YOU, NOBODY GIVES A SHIT"

first off I have to say this is coming from someone who goes to TTR as a single person. First off I have been there for 14 nights and usually try to get out with the people from the resort at least once while I am there. If you go out with the people at TTR you will always have a great time out in town. If congo bongo wasn't your thing and you want more of a club atmosphere then THE CITY might suit you. But once again I always have a great time just staying at the resort with everyone that I have meet there. And with going for 14 days as you are you will meet many new people all the time if you mingle with everyone. I try to just talk to as many people as I can or as many as can handle talking to me....lol. I am going at the end of April and the beginning of May for 21 days and plan on going out maybe a couple times but again depends on who I meet and who is deciding on going out on certain nights. I was there in Jan and didn't go out but because I had all the entertainment I could handle right there at the resort....lol.
You could always go out with a group to Carlos and Charlies which is entertainment in itself and hit the bar SLICES with that group right after for a few drinks then head back to TTR. If you check out the thread http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/21541-please-may-i-have-another-2.html you will see some pics of both places. The more people you meet and party with the more you will be satisfied with just the resort. I feel that after hitting a few of the places out in town I am just as happy hanging with my new found friends at TTR. Like I said I go single and even though alot of singles go out to the clubs I enjoy the company of singles and couples alike right at the resort.

It really depends on what you like to do. The entertainment at the resort is not quite like the clubs. There is music and people dance, but its just not the same as a place like Coco Bongo. We both used to go to clubs all the time and now were kind of over it, so we have a great time just staying at the resort, getting to know people, and drinking all night. The clubs are always so crowded and that just doesn't appeal to us anymore. I guess what I'm saying is that if you don't mind sitting around Paty'Os drinking all night and just hanging out, then its great. If that club atmosphere is what youre looking for then go out. I hope this helps and doesn't seem like I just rambled on LOL.

I agree with Rob. I am happy dancing at the resort and once in a while we take off to Bull dogs or Coco Bongos. They are fantastic too.

Yes, Temptation has enough to satisfy one's needs on a nightly basis. You can change it up and go to the sports bar for some pong or pool. Nice Shoes is open for those special nights. Paty 'O is always fun. We have been to every club, disco & bar in Cancun over the years and we love Temptation because it is a 24/7 party every night.

We are more than happy to stay at the resort. It's like a great big kitchen party every night and everyone knows that kitchen parties are the best!

The booze is included at the resort and as busy as it may be it's never that difficult to get a drink. Even during a 14 night stay we're never bored.
