    Another question....

Also, does anyone here have any suggestions on a real estate agent to find a house to rent? Thanks again, this forum has been so helpful in planning our move :)

On the looking for a real estate agent question?

Personally, I would never recommend using one. To me real estate agents for rentals are one of those superfluous jobs that doesn't really need doing. While the renter may not pay any commission directly, the landlord will and the agent is looking for the highest possible rental price to ensure their percentage commission is as high as possible too.

There are plenty of for rent by owner places available. My recommendation would be to stay in a hotel for a week or two, explore different areas, find an area you like and then call the numbers listed on signs at properties you like the look of. Look at 5 different properties at least before deciding.
