Ditto! For us in Canada, it's more of a morbid fascination though...

Yeah, I just meant that most people are not thrilled with the candidates they have to choose from these days.

They just found out Santorum won Iowa???? It takes how long to count votes?

Our elections run about a month, as well. On election day we know who won before we go to bed. Actually, because the population base is heavily weighted in the East, we often know who won before the polls close in B.C.....

And there lies the problem. It takes so much money to get elected in this country that only the super-rich or those with the backing of the super-rich (and therefore in their hip pockets) are able to run. The former has no way to relate to Joe Average because their lifestyle is so vastly different and the latter owes his soul to those who bought his office. Either way, the 99% (back to that) are going to have no voice whatsoever.

The bottom 50% that pay no taxes, yet consume a above average amount of government resources shouldnt have a voice.

Rdub, I wasn't criticizing Obama and his killer actions. It causes me no lost sleep...But you really need to get over your hero worship of him. This is the point of my post. He is not the God you all thought he was...Worship someone else...Do you even realize you have him on a pedestal?

And this is a huge problem Ben as this bottom 50% can be counted on to vote for whomever they think will continue to carry them. And we know who that is...I am convinced we will not solve this debt crisis. We will go the way of Greece....We will be dictated to...

Do you really think Obama can relate to the Average Joe? Let's see, he spent much of his youth in Indonesia, his only real job was that of a community organizer, he went to Harvard on a full ride, and he's heavily connected to Wall Street while trying to make himself look like an every day guy.

Yep, sure doesn't sound like any of my clients, but Obama wants you to believe he's just an average guy. His ties to the "99%" are a total joke. What has he ever done that would even remotely qualify him as one of the real world? I can't think of one thing.
