It's annoying when people reserve them and don't use them. If you're using them, it's not that big of a deal!
I have watched this happen knowing that is was going to cause a problem later in the day. I have also been a victim of it. When the "cleaned" person came to the pool and started accusing the people in the chairs of stealing I stepped in and explained what happens to both of them. It got defused pretty quickly and we all shared space with the victim of the cleaner. It can also go VERY differently. I have had a chair that was occupied (person was in the bathroom) taken by an outrageously drunken idiot who saw no reason to part with it. I tend to approach things differently than most so instead of arguing I just sat right beside him and very quietly swore at him like a drill sgt. for about 5 minutes. It got to be too much and he left but I said some really outrageous things I tend to get down there at 5:45 and wait until the cleaning happens and then ask security if we are OK. Then I put my towels on a non cleaned chair to avoid conflict. I hang out until 7 or so and then check on the wife every 1/2 hour until the party starts around 9.
I think I will leave the chairs to others. I'm an early riser but not likely I'll be awake enough to mind a chair at 6am. Besides, if I want to relax and sit I'll sit on the beach. If I want to hang around the sexy pool then I may as well be at the bar!
I would get up around 5:30, hang out with Jamie and watch Dale sleep in the chairs while I had a cup of coffee and a smoke. Then about 6:30 head back to the room for a little "nap" until 8, breakfast and then pool time!!! The days we knew we were going to be gone most of the day we didn't reserve and just shared with friends.
I'm surprised the guy lasted 5 min with you chirping in his ear.:aktion025: For those of you that don't know Mike, he is part of the entertainment staff....he just doesn't get paid but certainly keeps us wondering what on earth he is going to do next :icon_eek: In all seriousness Mike is a great guy that we were lucky to meet several years ago. He is also the bikini expert for those of you that have questions concerning WW,Malibu Strings or any others along that line. :xyxthumbs:
i know that sexy pool chairs were reserved by 8 am during our trip.. but we never had to reserve them. we always managed to get a chair to place our things on.. or we just put our stuff in a small pile next to a chair (with permission of course). People come and go during the day from their chairs and let go of their reserved chairs once they are done with them... so, chairs do become available through out the day.
This conversation has been on here a hundred times and will never be resolved. Just be respectfull of others and everything will be fine...
