We are probably booking for Jan 25-Feb 1 and will upgrade to a jacuzzi room (not spending the extra $$ on the suite this time). When we were there in Oct. we started out in room 1140, which was way at the end of the resort after a long hallway of jacuzzi rooms - didn't like that location at all. That room flooded with the bad storm and we were moved to 1102, which was a much better location, and I know the other jacuzzi rooms are on that hallway too, close to the quiet pool bar. This is where we want to be, I believe that is rooms 1105-1120. My question is, I have read that some rooms have poor water pressure and other stuff wrong with them, and that not all rooms on the first floor next to the quiet pool are jacuzzi rooms. We want to put in a request to get a specific jacuzzi room to stay out of the area that is behind the restaurants, but we don't want to get stuck with a room that has other problems. So, I read that some of those rooms on the side we want don't have privacy shades on the patios? Is that right? We want a shade for sure. I also want that location because I may be able to get wireless internet from there, no way from the other side, too far from the lobby. Those who have stayed in those rooms, please tell me good/bad so I know which one to request. Especially tell me if there are problems with the jacuzzi or shower, that would really suck for us! When we were in 1140 and tried to use the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, a bunch of black and gooey shit came out of the jets, it was disgusting! The jacuzzi tub in 1102 worked perfectly fine. Just trying to avoid being grossed out again, or changing rooms. I would rather learn from the experience of others - thanks for the help
Here is a good thread already started with a map http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/tem...0-jacuzzi-suite-room-request-suggestions.html btw we were in 1134 or 1135 last year. The room was nice and all worked fine. It's located right behind the resaurant however, so not an ideal location.
I saw that thread already, and that is where I read about the privacy shades missing from some of those rooms, and some question about whether all those rooms in that row have a jacuzzi on the patio. I do like that location, close to the quiet pool bar, but want the privacy shade and jacuzzi. I need internet access because of my job, so I'm hoping to get a room where that might be possible, or easier to get to the lobby quick, don't want to be on the far side of the quiet pool behind the restaurants - no way I can get internet access there and it is too far away from everything else. I only reposted here instead of on the other thread because the specific questions I had were not answered there - but I did see the map and that helped a lot in narrowing down the room numbers
Are the Jacuzzis just tubs you fill up and empty each time you use them or are they real hot tubes that are full all the time?
There a large 2 person tub you fill up each time take about 20 to 30 minutes, but hey your on vacation, the water is as hot as you want it, ps, the floors are slippery.
