Looking forward to our first trip to TTR - especially the "sexy pool." I've read a few posts about having to get up "early" to get a chair by the sexy pool.... How early is "early"?
Let's just say in May we come back from the clubs, switch to our suits, and head for the pool... Sunrises are really cool. Jamie
We don't even try to get a chair, 95-percent of your time is spent in the pool, not in your chair. But if a chair is your thing, then I would advise no later than 7-8 am to reserve a decent one. We usually roll down about 10 am and just throw our crap next to a tree or something and start drinking. :aktion033:
I agree that you have got to get there early. The side the catches the sun all day is between the pool and the beach next to the premier side. I dont agree with reserving beds, especially if you dont use them till late afternoon.
I agree. Reserving chairs and not using them until lunch is pretty unfair. I imagine there's no problem finding a space on the days when Steve's cruise is running!
We would all be out there early! we reserved 4 beds for about 10 -12 of us, it was a place to all meet and sit leave our stuff, it's amazing how many people that can sit on a bed drink and chat! There had been a few thefts when we were there so it was a base for us all to leave our bags knowing there was someone there whilst we were in the pool or at the bar, we were not like some that did not use the beds 'till lunch time!
That's a really good idea I didn't think of that. There's only 6 of us, so just one or two at most would do us as a base for keeping the stuff, as not everyone will want to sit on the chairs at the same time. I was worried about thefts, so I've bought some waterproof cases to keep my valuables with me at all times.
That is what we would do, we would just tell whoever was there that we were going for a walk or whatever and they would keep an eye on things! It saved taking everything with us all the time! It worked very well, and we made some lovely friends that we met at TTR through Cancuncare!
It always amuses me, people complain there aren't enough chairs available because they are reserved and that people get up early so that they can have a chair. It's like the chicken and the egg in my eyes. thankfully I just stay in the pool and don't really get too worried about having a chair lol
