Comic skits are sometimes more believed than the truth... You know that Sarah Palin never said "I can see Russia from my front porch.." It was a SNL skit. But over half the population believes Sarah said it. Comic punchlines sometimes become fact in our 30 second information world. [Please do not read this as support in any way for Sarah. Just making a point] Jamie
Jamie: Oh, I know. G W´s was from BBC, and then Fam Guy or The Simpsons made fun of it. Palin seems to have enough of blunders, even if one disregards Tina Fey´s SNL skit, hehe.
That's true. She actually said "You can see Russia from one of the Alaskan islands." There is a Russian island that is about 2 1/2 miles away that can b seen on a clear day. Remember Dan Quayle... The Palin of his time The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century. Dan Quayle, 9/15/88 I stand by all the misstatements that I've made. Dan Quayle, to Sam Donaldson, 8/17/89 Mars is essentially in the same orbit... Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe. Dan Quayle, 8/11/89 I have made good judgements in the Past. I have made good judgements in the Future. Dan Quayle Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child. Dan Quayle What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is. Dan Quayle and so on..... lol It seems to me that candidates should'nt be allowed to pick their own running mates...lol
LMAO...that's great. And those guys behind them are actually eyeing some sheep over the camera man's shoulder....lol.
damn Brewster... can't you tell that there is one of each back there... and both are saying "Alright..." just with different inflections.. Jamie
Oh don't know, Ben. I did a search on Joe Biden gaffes. It seems to me Joe has a tendency to run on and say things that are not well thought out. Politically incorrect" or sometimes offensive. Like this for instance: "There's less than one percent of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than four of five percent that are minorities. What is in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you're dealing with." –Joe Biden, Explaining why schools in Iowa are performing better than those in Washington, D.C., Washington Post Other stuff I found were quotes stating a position on policy that he later reversed his position on. Support for the Iraq was, for instance. I'm not intending to defend or support Biden. You need a leader that doesn't tip his hand or spout off before thinking it through and Biden has big troubles in that area. But I don't get the sense that he is a dumb as the others. I honestly couldn't find anything just out right stupid or ignorant (in the true sense of the word) like Quayle or Palin.
