quickly, what's the word on bringing generic non prescription viagra into mexico? Will customs give me crap? please advise
I know but I guess I just didn't want to leave the resort once I got there. How far away from TTR is the walmart? But just for record, don't bring it or I'll be ok?
That depends, does it come in a bottle that is clearly labelled, with name of the company that makes it etc? If it's in a plain bottle that doesn't identify what is in it I wouldn't take the risk. Imagine coming back the other way how a customs agent would think if they saw a non descript bottle full of pills. It could mean a few tense moments while they test it.
I took it with no problem. IN to Mexico AND into USA when we came back...now if you get a red light in customs that may be a different story...
Well, I can say I have travelled to both Mexico an Cuba a few times and did not realize I had presciption pills in blank bottles in my bags, I never did had a problem. Though, I am thinking I should take them out for my next trip....
I'm pretty cautious...Mexican jails don't look very nice. I make sure I have my prescription and non-prescription bottles or boxes with any meds I bring into Mexico. I checked the prices of Cialis in Mexico when last time I was there and it didn't seem cheap to me. About the same as Canada. The Walmart is an inexpensive bus ride. You get the bus right outside of the resort and Walmart is very close to where you get off. Check with the front desk on which bus numbers will take you there. I think the pharmacy across the street charged more. Perhaps a resident can tell us... are we paying "tourist prices" in these places? Are there cheaper places to go for meds?
A girlfriend of mine had a girlfriend of hers get thrown in jail for over a year in I believe Puerto Vallarta for coming into the country with naturopathic medicines in unlabelled bottles. Not funny. She had to raise $50,000 to even get a lawyer to start helping her down there. Keep all pills in their original packaging to avoid trouble is the message here.
Well I cant speak for the Cialis but the Viagra in Walmart is made by Phizer, the pills there are 100 mg which are double what they sell here in Canada so split the pills into or at least give your female partner a lifeline to " phone a freind " when she is tapped out...LoL...I was there in May 2011 and paid $48 U.S for 4-100 mg tablets...Hope that helps.
