My wife and I are considering booking a trip for 2012. We are in the lifestyle and are looking to have a nice adult vacation. If it isn't during Desire week are there going to be other like minded, young, attractive couples there? We have been to Hedo in Jamaica and there weren't many young people or lifestyle people. We are considering Desire in Cancun as well but aren't real excited about the full nude, we like to leave something to the imagination. No need to see all there is to offer while standing in line for a drink...lol
I think you may have meant to post this on the cabo thread.. Temptation in cancun does not offer a Desire week.. its only Temptation Cabo
Thanks for catching that. We do plan on going to Cancun. I guess if since there isn't a Desire week in Cancun we shouldn't have fears of going at a different time and missing out??
thats would be very true..lol Cabo has Desire weeks because it used to be a Desire resort but changed it into a TTR.. owned by the same group.. :wave:
But other than that... I think you would find that TTR has what we call the College Frat Party for adults atmosphere. There is a, as they put it, sexy vibe going on with really friendly people that are mostly Swayers rather than into the Lifestyle. Swayers are flirts that don't close the deal. That being said, there are a lot of Lifestyle couples that do go to TTR, it's just on a lower key. We joke about wearing different color armbands with X, XX, or XXX on them to help break the ice. So I guess what I'm saying is that it's a great fun relaxed atmosphere where sometimes Lifestyle couples hook up, those that might want to try it for the first time hook up, and those that don't all hang out together and have a great time. As I have said on this site many times before, you will get as much out your vacation there, as you put into it. If you are looking for lifestylers, you will find them. If you are looking for swayers, you will find them. If your looking to just lay on the beach and not be bothered, you will find it. We have never been disappointed with any of our trips there.
We understand that and we love to party. We are going to have a great time regardless. The more we read about TTR the more we hear people say they never saw any swinger and don't know if there were any there. Just wondering what our expectations should be for any extra lifestyle fun. We are very laid back and non-pushy. This often makes it hard to find other lifestyle couples. We never push the lifestyle on anyone although we have had many experiences with newbies or people curious about expanding their horizons.
I don't think you will have a problem finding other couples that want to have some extra fun. Even if you are shy, if a person or couple is interesting in getting to know you or if you are like minded, they will gently (or depending on the alcohol level, outwardly) ask or imply. I think when couples who say they don't see many swingers is only because they aren't truly aware or aren't looking for it. My advice, just have fun and fun will find you.
That's very true. When my wife and I went for the first time, we were aware that there would be swingers there but didn't think much more about it. I suppose we are swayers, but we've never really labelled ourselves. We just like to meet other people and have fun. Anyway, it wasn't until the end of our trip that we realized that several of the couples we had spent some time with had hinted at some "extra fun" but we were just to naive to realize it! I'm sure if we were into the lifestyle we would have been very aware and probably had a LOT of "extra fun". It's definitely there, if you want it. If you don't, no one is pushy... as our story above clearly indicates!
We are planning on going in Sept. or Oct. Hopefully there are some young sexy couples who want to party and have a good time there then.
