I really did not plan on this, but looks like I have to do some online work for a degree Im working on while at Temptations. Is there WI FI in any areas? Does the Hotel still have a PC room to rent time on the PC?

    Thanks
    Kevin

    Internet

    Hi ,
Internet is $5 for 30 mins or $15 for one day . They would not give us a deal for a week , until we asked a tall young guy at the front desk and he gave us 7 days for the price of 6 . See if you can package it in your hotel / flight package when you purchase your trip . We had a room by the quiet pool and the internet worked in our room , on the beach in front of the quiet pool , the lobby , and also at the buffet restaurant . We were at TTR last month during Halloween , had a blast , make sure you bring your theme night attire and have a great time . You can bring the internet to TTR but you can't take the fun that you'll have back home , so enjoy your time in Cancun .
    All the best,

I don't know how much time do you need to be online, but I found a very cheap alternative to the hotel's Internet which, for the price, is atrociously sloooooooow for my taste.

There's an interet cafe on the other side of the street just before you get to the bridge. It's a nice 5 minute walk from TTR. Last time I was there, they charged me 10 pesos (that's around 80 cents USD) for an hour of usage. The connection speed there was significantly faster that what I used to get in my room at TTR. Sorry, I don't know the name of the place. They also do speak very good English there.

Probably just an hour, My professor is a stick, and wont let me post my online forum responses late, so I have them prepared, just need to paste them, repsond to a few other classmates and then out of there. I had hoped not too bother with it, but need to.

Make sure and put the international plan on your phone before you leave if you want to text or use data services. They will prorate the month of service if you just tell them what dates you will be out of the country for. Also on the starting data of the service make sure you dial *228 and I think option 2 to update your phone. I forgot to call and order service before I left this time so I had no data service at all. I couldn’t receive email or spin up my Wi-Fi hotspot. I could text for whatever the ridiculous rate they charge is and I did get an automatic text when I turned the phone on to let me know what those charges would be. I’m almost positive when you have the international plan that data and text rates linked below drop some but I couldn’t find it on the site. I did get full signal at the hotel when I turned it on but I can’t remember if it was 1X or 3G.

Verizon Link for heat map and charges:

I'm on hotels WI-FI right now , $15/day is kind of rediculous but oh well I had called Verizon to switch and since my cycle end Dec6th they said it really wasnt worth to switch over for the 5-6 days so I just figured i'll pay for the internet for couple days and not use my phone .. One thing that sucks it only lets u log on one device per room so when I'm not in the room I have my Ipod touch and use Wifi throughout the resort works by the pools and on the beach when i was laying out , then just disconnect the ipod and connect through laptop . At $15 you would figure they would just let u have the access .. Oh well time togo to dinner
