2005 oct 22 hurricane Wilma,1995 oct 5 hurricane Roxanne, just to mention a couple,Cancun get hit directly every 2.9 years on average not all ''big ones''a risk a lot of people are willing to take to travel this time of year ,maybe even save a few bucks, still a bummer to have your trip interupted or cancelled because of it. Hope everything works out see you in April.

we also think that sultry fox is getting a bit of a hard time here!

we read her other post about her accommodation and drops of love experience and we would feel exactly the same. She has clearly went to a lot of time to post that to warn off other people from that particular package, good on her!!
To be honest we never booked that package when we went last march because we just let our heads rule our hearts in thinking that the sound of it was too good to be true for a 3/4 star resort and its good to know that our instincts were right.

That being said and also with learning about the change in staff, we are still both very excited about coming back again 5-19 march and 3 othercouples we have made friends with from the last time are also booking back to come at that time so we knowwe will have a blast with them and hopefully expand our friend network also!

We forgot to say that we found Chinos to be a very lively and fun part of the entertainment and he certainly was a one off character. Temptations base their whole marketing and website for the place to be a sexy and lively place especially for couples so we have our fingers crossed that the powers to be are not trying to tone down the entertainment and if that is not the case, the entertainment staff can rise up to the level that a lot of people expect to see at Temptations

On a side note we would like to say that this is a forum of free speech! if anyone else is thinking of messaging us privately for our comments (which are neither rude or unacceptable, merely an opinion) - please don't!

If you are a fun couple going at the same time as us and want to say hi then message away! ;-)

Thank you so much for the support! I posted what I wish would have been there for me before I left on the trip - just trying to pay it forward :liebe011:

The "perfect" vacation spot does not exist, we all have to compromise on some things to get the most of what we want. When you don't have honest reports of a place, it is hard to gauge whether your specific needs will be met or expectations violated. Just because that "bad" thing that happened was important to one visitor, doesn't mean it is important to everyone, but it does give a more realistic impression of a resort and allows the traveler to make an informed decision.

I think it is better to prevent someone from going to a place where they would not be happy than to convince them to go based only on exaggerated positives and have them be disappointed because it didn't live up to their expectations on vacation priorities or what they consider to be "uncompromisable". Tell it like it is and let people decide if that is what they want for a particular vacation experience.

The entertainment issue is relevant because if that has changed, it would violate some expectations previous visitors would have, causing disappointment later. Based on what I read about his contribution to the entertainment experience, and what my personal experience was without him there, and what people told me about him on the Boobs Cruise on Oct. 19, I think it is fair to say that TTR needs to either hire him back to maintain the status quo, or make swift improvements in their entertainment staffing. It just is what it is.

Just as an aside, the perfect place for me would be luxury 5 star accommodations along with the sexy fun and parties. I don't think that place exists, sadly - so for me it was important to be able to see how much of the luxury accommodations I could still get at a sexy party/adult fun place.

What I know now is that TTR is all about the sexy fun party, which is very cool, and visitors there who also like alone time in their room and the services that come with that at other hotels should definitely NOT depend on ANY staff availability to accommodate their requests, despite any promises made to that effect. It is a place people go to where they want to be with lots of other people all the time, and don't want or demand room service or to hang in the room much at all. This is REALLY important information for me and my husband to have known before the trip - because we wanted the combination of people and parties along with luxurious and romantic alone time and that doesn't exist.

We probably still would have gone to TTR, but would not have paid an assload of extra money for drops of love when they couldn't do the things we wanted anyway, and expectations would have been more in line with reality. Being honest about the experiences people have is the very best way to ensure those who actually come to TTR will have the best time possible.

Be honest about the entertainment realities now as well, that can only lead to improvement in the future (if everyone still says it is fun and awesome, what would motivate TTR to hire him back or make improvements??)

Chick you talk way to much! And I'm sorry but get over the drops of love. You have posted it enough and we get it, you were upset.

I have had at least a dozen people on this forum contact me privately thanking me for what I have said and the advice I have offered. If you don't like it, you don't have to be mean about it. Many more have appreciated it and that is kind of what a forum is all about. Whatever ...

I've got to take Sultryfox's side on this. I'm on dozens of forums online and the ones with the best information for others are the ones where issues are talked about, not just swept under the rug and/or downplayed by others.
Yes, she's mentioned it more than once, but IMO that's not a problem as much as it is a public service announcement.
