Thanks, for all of your updates. You are doing yeomans work for us. We are scheduled to arrive noonish on Friday. Not sure what to do. Just hoping and relying on your updates and reports. We booked with TTR direct so we lose if we cancel. Always said we wouldn't travel in Cane season. But this year, seemed like a calm year, and got a good deal. Maybe not such a good deal now, eh. Wanted to try Halloween TTR. We always do NYE which is a blast and already booked and paid for both Halloween and NYE before Chinos left. Seems we getting boned at every turn.
Anyway plz keep the updates coming and we trust your controlled wisdom on 'Canes.
P.s. Tell Chinos Starsky says he needs his horseshoe partner back this week.

Well, still waiting although we expect to go to TTR on Saturday. Looking at the weather forecast-rain thru the next 8 days. Local weather forecast said something about mudslides along with the rain so Kathie is not that excited about that! Lets see what today and tonite brings. Really bummed!!

Hurricane rina seems to be getting torn apart by wind sheer so it keeps getting weaker and losing organisation at some speed, dont worry about mud slides cancun is flat so wont effect this area. The latest model has it to curve back down again as a tropical depression this will likely cause flooding with it being over the cancun area for some time. but again as has happened many times with this storm things can change.

Thanks for the updates Steve. What are the chances of seeing the sun through the week if the storm goes as forecast? So far, we are still booked and as long as the transportation works, we'll see you all on Sunday. Hopefully by, or in the pool!

This is exactly what I'm wondering. We are supposed to fly out tomorrow at 6 am. Frankly, I want to cancel, but my travel companions don't, so I'm kind of stuck. I'm trying to remind myself that the forecast in Cancun is almost always for rain--usually it rains in the morning and then dissipates by the afternoon. So I'm hoping that's the case this week!

Well will pray for sun. No refund from the resort here so will make the best of it. They would shift our dates but then dealing with the airlines. So will see what happens. Look this way, we seem to be lucking out so far so we may see sunshine also!!

    Rain

Look at wunderground.com for Cancun, Mexico extended forecast. It will give you a detailed every 3 hour forecast for the next week. As far as rain during the day every three hours it pretty much states a majority of the time trace amounts. I know that I can handle this. Bring and umbrella if need be!! So will see everyone soon.

down to tropical storm now before even reaching any land. i think it may even be a weak tropical storm by the time it reaches cancun with just a large amount of rain. depending where it heads after hitting cancun will effect the weather usually any moisture in the area is drawn into these systems so usually get great weather as soon as a tropical system leaves the area.
