late oct- early nov are best because landscaping in Wisconsin is slowing down and my wife has teacher break around halloween so it seemed like a fit until Rina showed up. Aint that the nuts!!! But reading the april addicts seem to have it down pat, so maybe we can figure out a way to make it then. Thanks for all the help hope all goes well with everyone else.We will keep in touch and check out the forum from time to time to see whats going on. Again thanks for the help.
We go in February. It's a great break from winter weather. The evenings can be a bit cool (sweatshirt/sweater cold) but we've never experienced very much (if any) rain. We can't wait!....shooting for 2/9/12 - 2/19/12.
Those who saw my other posts know that our primary issues were not weather related at all. I wasn't necessarily complaining, I was providing support for what the original post said about the entertainment not being what it clearly was before. The weather wouldn't have been a problem for us at all if we had gotten the room service and butler we were promised with drops of love. Without the promise of those two services, we never would have booked a trip to Cancun during peak hurricane season, we would have gone to Vegas or Cabo.
I thought your posts were incredible, like you worked for a resort review board! Your posts helped me make my decision to cancel, why would I go there and play games inside a hotel? Why would I ever book there in October again? FLorida or Cabo in October are the best places to travel to.
This message board serves a number of purposes in addition to being a place to catch up with old friends. If it wasn't for honest feedback about what to expect from this board I would never have made it to Temptations. My point is I think it is rude to call out Sultry when she is just being honest about her experience. I love tempations, but I have to say the entertainmen crew is a big part of the trip for me. If you really love Temptations you should want to see it at it's best, and for many people here Chino and Omar were our favorites and now neither are there. Hopefully management reads these threads and brings them back or gets quality replacements.
The April Addicts group (and we are glad to be among them) do have it "down pat" and you are guaranteed a fun time with us (good weather or not). Definitely think about joining our festivities.. see the April Addicts thread for details! We have already booked for April 2012 (and also Halloween 2012!)
This year was a fluke (and a big one at that). We've had for the most part great weather the 4 other times we've been to TTR for Halloween. Just saying... lol.
I think what makes our group or any other of the big reunion groups so much fun to be a part of is that we do our own theme nights, there is such a large number of us that we can create our own fun at the pool, we are pretty much a self reliant group of people, we make and bring our own fun, so we are not so much dependant on the entertainment staff (though Chinos will be sorely missed, until the Boobs Cruise) or the hotel in order to have fun. Each group is pretty unique, the December, April and May groups seem to be the largest, Me personally... Im an April Addict and pretty proud of it lol
