Thanks all! I just didn't want to get stuck with a typical shower. And yes, we will have to check out everyone elses lol. I am totally excited and although I want summer to last, September can't get here fast enough. :cheerleaders:
When you get there , check out the shower in the room that they give you . Turn it on make sure it is to your liking. If it isn't, ask for another room until it is what you want. They are usually very good about accomidating what you want. ( Unless they are very crowded, then you may have to wait a day to changr rooms)
I think it's probably the water rather than the shower head design. The water here is very 'hard' due to limestone bedrock and limescale builds up quickly clogging the outlets. We have the same problem at home.
Last year they started remodelling the bathrooms near the Cigar Lounge (we had to listen to the construction every morning The all glass shower we had in 5000 block was as big as a walk in closet, two rainshower heads and we could turn the TV towards the shower and watch channel 12- sweet!
Looks like I'll be hoping to get a room in the 5000 block... Large shower, Channel 12.. Skip the Pool come to our room
hi we are going to TTR 30nov 2011 and are late 50s and are just wandering what the hotel policy is on selecting rooms i/e if we think our room would be to noisy for us would they be likely to allow us to change to one away from the night time bar hope you had a nice time on your vacation john and marie england ps if you have any tips for us on what to expect at TTR then the would be appreciated
They're usually pretty good. My wife usually has to look at 3 or 4 rooms before we settle on one and I'm not kidding. So just ask to see the room before you take your bags to the room to see if you like it.
They have a map at the desk and they show you where the room is. You can ask if they have availability in other areas. I look for king bed, 2nd floor (better security if you leave your balcony door unlocked or open by mistake), double shower head in 5000 area (didn't have a seat though) or big balcony if nothing available with double shower. anyone know where the double showers with seats are located? also anyone know the room numbers for the huge balconies in the middle sections right by the tex-mex restaurant?
We changed room 3 times one year, the hotel was busy nearly full and the staff did say that they were sorry about the room but they would move us the following day, our first room was by the main road, the road noise was bad and we didn't take an 11 hour flight for that view and noise, 2nd room near Patios, lovely during the day, but noisy until early hours. Some nights you just need to sleep! Especially if you are on a Boobs Cruise the next day! 3rd room lovely, one block in from the sexy pool, we had no trouble at all changing rooms, just cost us a few $ in tips!! Hope you really enjoy your stay, we had so much fun we are going back for the 3rd time next March/April! My advice, don't unpack your bags until you are happy with your room!
