We have heard good and bad about the ocean waters at TR. What is your thoughts? Not that we will be there much. But, playing v-ball and wanting to take a dip, we might want the ocean for that. Also, do they have servers take your drink orders out around the beach and volleyball area? Looking forward to seeing all of your going between the 9th and 15th of Nov!!!

The ocean at TTR is just fine to swim in. The issue with the ocean is that it's not quite as beautiful as some places. There are no big crashing waves etc.
We've been there about 10 times and only a few days have I seen a waitress walk out on the beach to serve drinks. Yes they do it just not all day everyday. However there is a price for everything in Mexico. Guessing a nice tip would get you drinks on the beach.

Thanks for the insight FUN IN THE SUN. 10 times at any location makes you a 'seasoned" pro for sure. :)

    beach

We'll be there the 7th-14th. This will be our 3rd time and on all previous times we spend our days on the beach and have had great drink service on the beach. Vironica is the best!:ernaehrung005:

    RicknJill,

Thanks for the post. We hope to see you there. We always take plenty of cash with us for tips since we have traveled to other resorts and know that cash= great service. We will also keep an eye out for Vironica.

The ocean? Don't go to TTR for the ocean. If it's an ocean you're looking for look somewhere else. The pools are very nice though.

The ocean is fine, you can swim, etc, and usually there are some people out there all day, but I will warn you that I got stung by a jellyfish earlier this month there. I was in the seaweed part, so stay out of the seaweed!

Thanks all for the advice on the ocean. Again, we don't plan our day around the ocean, not when you have a place called the sexy pool, it was more for just learning about the resort. Happy days... Happy drinks to all

Seaweed is constantly coming in but they do a good job of keeping it cleaned up. I spent some time in the ocean last year and never had a problem. Clear enough to see lots of fish.
