My wife and I are first timers and we are currently booked at Temptations, however I am really starting to think that Desire might be the better place for us. Looking for people who have been to both for suggestions.
? In limbo?? We haven't been to Desire and have been to TTR 14 times. This year we are doing 5 nights at TTR and 2 nights at Desire. We are going with another couple that have been to Desire a few times. They said it is a much higher class place than TTR. I guess we will find out. With the way things are going at TTR with cast members getting fired and leaving etc I think we may have made a good choice in splitting it up.
Been to TTR 10 times, Desire twice. Enjoyed our time at both resorts. Desire is more high end. Biggest difference is that full nudity is allowed, and usually practiced at Desire. Also, much more open sexual activity and playing at Desire. Just depends on what your agenda is for your vacation as to which would suit you best.
We greatly prefer Desire as well. It has a completely different vibe and is much more "high end". It's also about twice the price so we do one trip to Desire and one trip to TTR or similar venue each year.
We have been to both and your decision largely depends on your goals. Desire is more overtly sexual (Desire Cancun (before changed to TTR) included sex on the bar at the hot tub/pool, etc) and is marketed toward the lifestyle crowd. TTR is sexually charged, but includes a more diverse crowd of people. We had a tough time meeting people our own "demographic" at Desire, but had no problem finding awesome people our age at TTR. We just got back from both (trip report to come at some point), but we liked both quite a bit. Ultimately we liked Desire better but it definitely averaged older than Temptation was - even though there were people of all ages at both. I'd say the people at Desire probably were more afluent (if that matters). They were every bit as friendly as at Temptation. We inadvertently got to stay at Desire (Temptation was overbooked and they offered to transfer us to Desire for Friday/Saturday), but it was great. Nice rooms, better beach, more upscale food. We thought the vibe was more intimate than Temptation. If you're into the lifestyle thing then Desire is definitely the way to go - it's officially sanctioned in a couple of areas. If not (like us), then it's still great and a bit of a way to dip your toe in (so to speak) if you're inclined to. We never felt out of place with her being without a top but both of us in bottoms - but then again we were only there for 2 nights and were starting to get more comfortable on the second night. We agree bothe desire and TTR are fun it all depends what you like thats why we do both 3 nights TTR and 4 Nights Desire
we haven't been to Desire due to the price. TTR is half the cost for us. so we go to TTR for that reason. we know ppl that do go to Desire every year and loves it there. we just don't see why we should pay double just to take our bottoms off at the beach. we will stick to TTR. we love it there. as for the lifestyle thing you can get your feet wet at both....lol....
We have been to both and both are enjoyable and have their own benefits but we found we had more fun and laughter at TTR. Both are great holidays destinations but we will return to Temptations next time and stay longer.
