Just as an FYI if you missed it, Stacy is now gone too. So you have currently Victor, Jose, Sara, and Manual. That is of course until one or more of them decide to leave too.... Jamie
We've always been crazy about Chinos; he was IMHO the one constant at TTR. The staff is great; bartenders, waiters, maids, etc. And the other guests are great as well, but no one is there more than a few weeks a year. Chinos was always there, setting the tone for everyone to have a good time. Yes, I'm sorry to see Stacey leave; alas, people come and go. For some, it's the equivalent of being a ski bum for a year or 2 before getting a real job. Certainly wish Chinos the best; still hoping he'll turn back up at TTR. What really puzzles me is why TTR always seems to have so much drama. There are a bunch of "regulars" on Cancuncare who do a great job promoting the resort; think Jamie, Backs13, Icecube, Woodman just to name a couple off the top of my head. I just wish TTR management would weigh in on the conversation. From what I hear, they do monitor Cancuncare to see what's being said. It is, of course, their resort and they can do with it as they see fit. But why can't they answer some of the questions everyone has? Put out something saying, "here's the deal and here's what we're doing". It would end the endless speculation, and certainly it'd please us regulars who just want to know what to expect. They had the "repeaters receptions" once a week for a while. I guess what a lot of us wish is for an honest answer as to what's going on and what's their intention.
Makes me sick, we all know what to expect when we go there and if you don't someone will tell you or you just have to watch and it is obvious, maybe we all ned to write to TTR and express that our vacations are not the same without him and he needs to come back or we will leave! going to be there Oct 28th it will take a lot to fill his shoes, nice shoes that is!
Time goes on~~ Did anybody think that he might be slightly (or even totaly) burned out and not want to come back!!
I guess Sarah interacted with us quite a bit. She will only get better. When we were there she came around on rollerblades topless with playboy bunny ears handing out tequilla shots. Never seen Chinos do that but hey that would be fun to see. I have however been at the bar when Chinos play bartender. 10 shots later, all screwed up. Anyone feeding me shots is welcome in my book. I thought Sarah did a good job but, she is new.
I agree, Like ive said before. They love to advertise that they are the highest repeating resort in Cancun, Yet they keep making changes and leaving the repeaters in the dark, Im sure lots will still go back even if Chino is gone (some have already said they wont though) im sure people will still go back if they changed the entire entertainment staff, as long as everyone knew what direction they were going... its the people you meet, the reunion groups, the bartenders etc that make it fun, but it seems since April there have been a lot of things going on to make people worried about what direction they are going. A simple letter stating their intent on some sort of public forum may calm a lot of uneasy people. IMHO
