Hey there --- I haven't had a chance to read all the 4059234598247593875 posts in this thread but..... hubby and I loved TTR this September (our first time) and would love to try to make 2x in 2012. We are looking to go in April and again in September. What's the weather like in April? I have dresses I didn't get to wear in September and want to wear them in April if it's not too cool. So far, what are the dates that everyone is looking at? We don't have kids, so school doesn't matter to us so we are flexible. Just need to start looking at prices and SAVING!!! Well let you two know if we see a deal. It would be fun to be on the same flight. I shall be picking my holidays at work very soon so looking to see the deals and the best day to leave. We are not travelling Saturday to saturday again. Last time was brutal when we arrived at the airport to 600 plus people trying to get through security. Also they tried to bump us but we ended up staying in Jim's room the first night.
So far Glenn has found 10-24th 1831.00 but, he thinks it will come down when West Jet's seat sails comes in and West Jet flies direct Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursday. Tuesday and Thursdays are the better days to fly cause Sundays are busier. West Jet's seat sales will come in January. So we are gonna play the wait and see. Gonna book off two weeks from work and go for two weeks or 10 days depending on what is the better deal.
We'll be looking at the 10 -20. WestJet only flies once a week to Cancun out of Kelowna. So we may have to connect to Calgary or Vancouver to do 10 days. You never know we may see you at the airport. Time will tell, gotta get that sitter confirmed first, but the money is in the trip account just waiting to book. :mnm: & :mermaid:
Hi Eric and Tina , we were very similar to yourselves, we went for the first time in sept 05, loved it so much that we returned the following april, and we have been going back every april ever since , except for last year when our flights were cancelled the day before we were due to fly because of the volcano ash from iceland, so we booked up for sept 2010, like you we had a great time last sept, but we are going back next april 15th-29th, since we have been going in april from 06 we have met some wonderful people, who we call our friends, and every year we all meet up around the same dates to see each other, every year the group has grown to the amount that woody says, why april ? you will meet up with the most fantastic people, the weather is great , about 30 degrees every day, with warm evenings , you will have no problem wearing whatever you like in april, hope to see you there , you will have a fantastic time. sue and dave.
