Dang I'm getting cramps in my fingers wondering if I should type this... Back in June, Jill and I sat in the buffet dining room and ate lunch with 2 of the entertainment staff, neither was Chino's. (and don't ask me who we sat with as this was a private conversation) Both staffers told us that there may be a change later in the year because Chino's was ill. They did not imply anything about what the illness was or its severity...and we felt it not right to ask. That part of the conversation was brief and the topic changed quickly. June 2011 was our 5th trip to TTR and since we are not "joiners...more like watchers" Chinos not being at TTR is not as personal for us as it is for many of you that know him as your friend. Jill and I had a friend (local to us) that we were suprised to see working on the entertainment staff a couple of years ago. She was there for 6 months or so and she loved Chino's like a dad and still has a great amount of respect for him. (She now works at a casino in St. Louis) We truly hope he is not suffering from an illness (he may be perfectly healthy) and wish him well in whatever is going on in his life. Jeff n Jill Please do not P.M. us, we are not willing to discuss this further out of respect for the staff and their privacy...period!
Chinos has never been near a computer in his life. Anyone who really knows him knows he doesn't do technology. His apparent facebook account is not operated by him at all -just another PR thing from the hotel.
You wander away from the board for a couple of months... Steve if you speak with chinos let him know he has friends all over the world who wish him well and would love to help him out if he needs it.
We will def miss good ole Chino's! He is a wonderfull person on the inside. A couple of years ago Lori got Sun poisoning and Chino's was very helpfull. He was very caring and asked her how she was doing everytime he saw her. So we hope this is just a temporary thing! Enjoy your vacation Chino's!
Chinos, et al -- Just got back and yes, Chinos is not there and the story about the spanking is what we heard from staff as well. Poolside entertainment was pretty much non-existent without him but thankfully the place was packed and the crowd was so much fun on its own that we still had a good time. If it had only been half full it would have sucked. As much as I love Chinos, the one thing I never liked was when he would really humiliate people and get into the spanking thing. He'll never know when my birthday is!! Really, who goes on vacation to be humiliated and hurt? Just keep me laughing -- but someone else's pain has never been funny. So hopefully he will come back eventually..... but without the pain.
