So only 3 more days until we arrive in Cancun and staying at TTR for the weekend, our first time there!
Any last minute tips or suggestions?
We wanna stay close to the action and will probably be partying all day and night so a room in the 21XX block is best?
Also is there a place where my better half can find bikinis similar to the Malibu strings collection in Cancun? Its too late to order online and most places we have looked for in San Diego are too, lets just say modest for her... ;) lol
From what I gather everyone wearing orange wrist bands are from the Forum here? We both cant wait to meet you guys this weekend!
Also for the pool party sat night do people actually get wet or more people standing around the pool, just trying to get an idea of what to wear.

We will def be going to Isla Mujeres and snorkeling as I hear it is not to be missed along with some para-sailing, Jet skiing and kayaking.

Any other last minute suggestions on what to bring with us, pack, tours, or daily activities?

Appreciate all the helpful insight! :mnm:

Smile & be friendly to everybody; people naturally want to talk to & be friends with happy go lucky people. Join a couple of the games; don"t worry about looking silly. It's a great way to get known, especially if you're a good sport (if you lose). If you have a great attitude, everybody seems to sense it and you'll meet a lot of fun people.

A great looking bathing suit will cost you over $150 dollars in Cancun, a decent looking one $100, go to the mall and buy a suit.

Sat pool party wear a tux...just kidding, swimming trunks.

Get your drinks at the swim up bar if you are social, walk over to the quiet pool and walk your drinks over if you have trouble socializing.

If you are going for just the weekend keep in mind that the trip to Isla Mujeres takes up most of your day, so if its just for the weekend and you really want to go then you might as well book the Boobs Cruise.

My only tip is to pace yourself with the liquor, its hot and you are going to want to quench that thrist, drink water instead of killing thirst with liquor, you may end up going to be by 9pm if you over do it.

The other stuff you want to do you can do it right at the resort. Oh and be sure to return the red towels to the towel guy by 7pm or you may end up surprised at check out....

Bring an insulated water bottle. The cups at the bar are small and get warm quick. They will fill anything you bring to bar. You will def have a goodtime there.

U could always find something at Walmart in Cancun City, just a short #2 bus ride from the resort! Also a very reasonable place to buy Booze to take back with you, either to use at the hotel or for home.
A lot of us bring 20 oz. Bubba Mugs to keep our drinks cold also.
    Enjoy your VaCa!! :lotsofmichaelfs:

We've stayed in 2212 and 2216; PatyO's out the front door and sexy pool out the back. We prefer 22XX to 21XX b/c they're second floor - we like a balcony, but you might prefer being able to walk out your back door and straight to the pool.

Not many people actually wear orange bands. Like Marilyn&Steve said, just walk up and say hi to anybody - everybody's nice and looking to chat! If you happen to run into the 1% who aren't, just move on to any of the 99% who are.

Last week at the pool party there were only a handful of people in the pool (including us!), but it's definitely allowed.

Maybe this is just me, but if it were my first time at TTR and I was only there for the weekend and ready to party, I wouldn't leave at all during the day, other than maybe to jetski or something like that. Party it up at the pool all day, then at night party some more at PatyO's or head to a club with the resort.

    Have a great trip!

We'll have to buy a few of those before we leave, never really thought of warm drinks being an issue, or maybe that will just give us another reason to hang out at the bar! lol

Would you say it a better idea to buy liquor at wal mart in Cancun? we were just planning on going into the first market or liquor store we found to stock up our 2nd bar away from the pool.... lol

we will def keep an eye out for orange wristbands but your right, goal is to try and meet as many new people we can, I cant wait its gonna be pretty crazy I can already tell... :xyxthumbs:
We are actually gonna be in Cancun thursday-monday but already booked at Tucancun and since it was too late to cancel our reservations I just went ahead and booked Temptation for the weekend, So anyone needs a room for the weekend I got an extra! haha

Funguy upgrade those drinks to premium and we got a deal! haha jk :daveandmo:
