I posted the same question on the cancun forum, does anyone know if the pool is heated in Cabo? Or do alot of people hang out at the jaccuzzi during the day? We plan on going early to mid December, what is the weather like for those have gone during this time? Thanks!
Hi Kevin and Kim! We were in Cabo in April, so I can't speak about December, BUT, the pool was pretty tepid, just barely cool, so I imagine they must be heating it. I've been to resorts in Cabo in April where they don't heat the water, and the pools are pretty darn cold. No one was up in the rooftop jacuzzi pool in the daytime, and my recollection is that the bar up there does not open til 3 pm. The jacuzzi does not really start hopping til later at night. Everyone stays at the sexy pool til about 6, and then it's time to go have a siesta or get cleaned up for dinner. Then have dinner, then the nightly show at 10 pm, then hit the jacuzzi. They have a ripping party on Friday nights up at the jacuzzi area, and it's open to the public. Huge video screen, DJ, professional sexy dancers (1 male, one female). Some dude with a huge snake too...lol...I mean a huge snake of the reptile variety! I did see some weather stats that indicate that December is the rainiest month apart from August & Sept, but I seriously doubt it ever rains much in Cabo. It's like a desert there. December average temps are high of 77 deg, low of 58, so it's pretty chilly at night. January is the coldest month. I've watched the daily weather during the Jan-Feb period cuz i tbought about going to Cabo sometime during those months, and it's particularly cool at night (like, huddle around the firepit cool). I was also in Cabo the first week of November, and the weather was glorious every day. I personally would not go to Cabo in January or early February, judging by the weather I was tracking last year. Have a great trip!
The resort heats the water in the winter. The weather during the winter is warm during the days but the nights cool off quickly. They have fire pits around the bar for the evening shows and fire pits around the jacuzzi.
Everyone has a different opinon of what cool is, it is a nice refreshing change in December at night from the heat during the day. Also everyone stays in the main pool to 5 or 6 then most everyone heads up to the jacuzzi. Ususally the busiest time at the jacuzzi is from 5 to 8. Then people go for dinner and watch the shows and not many go back to jacuzzi. Then again you can't always say that as every day is different and depends on the crowd there. Oh, ya the pool is heated. We have been many times in December. To us, its the perfect time to go, along with late April.
