Definitely watch out for the cheap stuff, the hangovers from it caused me to lose a lot of precious pool time lol
If you like wine, you better bring your own because the wine at the resort is barely drinkable (and I can drink a lot of bad wine) and I couldn't quickly find any good liquor store to buy wine. I'm taking 8-12 bottles of wine to have in the room and take to dinner.
RnJ: Not sure when you were last there but they have improved the wine over the past 3 years at the resort. This January we found that we could drink the red wine if we had already had ALOT of other alcohol first and we couldn't even touch it in previous trips. If you have been recently then just think what it used to be like. We always order a bottle of wine from whatever country we are visiting to see what its like. There were a few passable Red Mexican varieties that you could purchase reasonably but I agree with RnJ, it's just like with people who have favorite liquor brands...bring your own if you are picky.
If we were planning to drink a lot of wine I would be sure to bring our own wine glasses. I don't think any red would taste good in a plastic cup:icon_eek:
We were there in February, and if the wine has improved in the last 3 years, wow--wouldn't wanna try it before! I like beer and stuff too, but prefer wine, especially on vacation at dinner. Good point about the wine glasses!
