Steve...you are The Man. :xyxthumbs: We missed you on the largest Boobs Cruise ever back in July!!!! One of my favorite videos from our trip is of us taking off from the dock while the crew was jammin Sweet Home Alabama & Highway to Hell. Can't wait to do it again next year!
Hmmmm, an inside job...did not think about it enough to consider it an inside job... I was leaning towards ppl creating countless email adressess and casting votes from the same IP.... That would explain how the hell those numbers climbed up sooo high and why it seems to be a head to head.... Thick skin or not, supporting one over the other or not....its feeling like high school. The resort will decide who wins period...given at how the FB page is managed and the possibility of inflation of votes internally.... Here is a little food for thought....if you were the resort, a habitual manipulator of publicity data....when chosing the winner, would you chose a regular customer whose traveling friends most likely have already heard of the resort and most likely visited already or would you chose a new traveler that can potentially spread the word to other potentially new travelers hence increase the likelyhood of generating new paying customers.... If my goal was publicity and generating new business, I would have to chose the person that can potentially help me accomplish that. OMG, maybe Laura will win...... Lighten upppppppppp people
Hi, I'm Laura, this month's major loser:aktion014:, and I just wanted to put my two cents in. I was out of town the day the competition went live. When I got back, Alisa already had a big lead and Cancuncare's support. What I liked best about this forum is how helpful, supportive, and fun the people here--and who go to TTR are. So, I chose at that time to stay off the board because a) Alisa has been to TTR more than I have and thus, I think, deserves it more b) I didn't want to be in the center of any nastiness or hard feelings c) it would be next to impossible for me to get off work in January anyway But here's the thing--doing the contest was a blast, and the prizes were awesome. But the online competition leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Seeing some of the past months, I had a feeling it was rigged. But knowing how many of my friends and family can't get a code, and seeing this month's votes in the 800s when past months' winners had like 300 votes... I dunno, kinda fishy. And here's one thing I think the resort's PR staff should consider: when we started looking at resorts, I at first wouldn't even consider TTR because I was horrified by the idea of being surrounded by gorgeous, half-naked nymphettes. But when I found this website and all the people with the same body image concerns who were kind and accepting, that changed my attitude. Maybe promoting the image that everyone who goes to TTR is a gorgeous supermodel is going to drive away some potential customers. Anyway, it is hard not to let it bring down my ego, so I appreciate you letting me get it off my chest.
Laura, You are in no way the big loser this month... probably you're the winner cause you stayed out of the fray. I'm just really glad they don't do this with Mr Temptation! Jamie
Currently it is 899 votes to 898 votes. It's too bad TTR feels the need to rig the appearance of the vote just to keep the promotion going strong for the entire duration of the competition. It would be interesting to see what the ''real'' score was at this point.
I think it time you stopped people canvassing for votes on here ! If you want to view and vote do it and have a 'sticky' directing people there ! I get fed up of people doorstepping me at election time and it goes on to much on the forum. Will also stop nastiness !
One good thing is all the hits the site takes and that helps drive up the site's ranking, and thereby generating more new viewers who hit the ad links and generate more income for Steve. So it's not all bad. Jamie
