We've done early October 4 times before now- perfect weather 3 times (a little chilly last year, relatively speaking). We asked a cab driver about it being hurricane season- he said that it's really only about every 15 years or so that they actually get hit.

yes you can, but they are way over priced and they might not even be Cuban, dont buy the ones they sell one the beach, check out the flea market down the street, across the road to the left of the resort, and offer a lot less than what they are asking
