well went to the gym. it was nice. diddnt gain over last weekend. actually lost 1lb. so a few more to go then i wont feel so bad!!
Well I am sure I have gained 3 lbs too. Anybody else wanna claim it cause I sure the hell don't. I think for the next three weeks I will be addding walks at lunch to my regimen too and after work workouts. doubling up to get at least 5 lbs off before cancun. Just don't want to be the whale on the beach. Lol Beach at the sexy pool bar.
thanks! yes a lb. is a lb. now 9 more!! everyone is so forcused. this is great. and no monique you wont be the whale at the sexy pool or beach!! thats a horrible thing to say! ladies we need to stop being so cruel to ourselves!! it actually sets us back alot!! if we have what we consider flaws, then we address them, but we need to stop picking ourselves apart bit by bit, because lets face it life, kids, time, all of these things play into who we are now. we dont have to give up, but be nicer and more excepting! ok im done. thanks
nicely said kmontoya, one thing I wonder is how come it takes one day to gain 3lbs and and 4 days to lose 1.5 lbs... it just doesn't seem right... Am I wrong in this??? And no Monique I'm not claiming yours... Lets go people and get this done..
i think scales lie!!!!!!!!!! there is no way except maybe water retention that you really gain 3 lbs. in one day!! scales just suck!!!!! i will limit my standing on one too 1 or 2xs a month. thats it!! i cant claim anyones lbs. because i always find mine again!!
well I hate to say it but stay off the scale everyone.. one pound = 3500 calories to lose one pound a week you have to eat 3500 calories less per week.. but if you are down one moring and up the next .. its all water.. the test is .. weigh yourself.. drink a couple bottles of water weight yourself again in 10 minutes and there you go you could be up a pound or 2.. you can retain a lot of fluid that will show up more after having salty food like chips and such..and still showing in the morning after you wake up.. the next day you could be up 2 or 3 pounds.. but if you are watching you calories and salt intake and carbs the water helps with reatining fluid.. I think that if you are doing all the right things it will come off before you know it .. but not over night or in one week.. its a marathon not a sprint.. I am really, really trying to reprogram myself. I am likley the worst offender of the scale... and come on girls look in the mirror every day and tell yourself something positive.. we are who we say we are :icon_mrgreen:
Kim, You're right on track with your views, IMHO. When I came back from vacation and weighed mine was up 3#, but realistically knew it was mainly fluid retention and didn't freak out. Today, just 48 hours later, I'm back to my pre-vacation weight. And very happy, I might add. I didn't deprive myself, but I did try to make reasonable choices and ran every other day for exercise. You really have to view this as a lifestyle change. You can't go on some crazy diet that makes you miserable and expect the weight to stay off. I speak from experience....I've done so many different diets over the years & watched my weight yo-yo like crazy. Have come to the point where it's about being healthy & happy. Found an eating plan that's healthy & works for me long term, as well as an exercise regimen that I love.....I think that's the key to success, you've got to enjoy the journey because it's a long one! Hang in there guys!!! You're all beautiful & I'm talking about more than just how you look!
Ok that sounds fantastic, so then I can tell myself that its all water and I really didn't gain 3lbs.. for that matter I'm even weight less..LOL Love it.. you all make me feel lighter and greater LOL
hahah!! Deb you are so funny.. cant wait to see you guys at the end of the month!! if you get off track for a day or two just get back on track.. you cant lose 3 lb of "fat"!!! in a day.. therefor you cant gain 3 lbs of "fat" in a day.. the day to day fluctuation is moslty always water retention... the trick is consistancy.:wink3: see you soon!
