My friend and I are off to Temptation mid aug for two weeks... never been to mexico before and are realllly excited! what is the weather like there just now? every time i check online it says thunderstorms?

What is TTR like? mainly couples or singles? we're two single 26yr old girls!

Wondering also how much spending money roughly to take?

weather always calls for t-stroms--in 11 trips never been rained out. few showers but they pass by quickly. being two ladies going--you will have great time with the couples and singles. everyone is very freindly--but anywhere there can be a jerk. the resort staff will quickly handle theses small problems. use a little common sence and caution while away from the resort.

It technically is hurricane season, but it doesn't rain too often. A sprinkle for an hour or so a couple of times a week is about the most I have seen. I have seen some serious rain, but it didn't last that long and people just moved to other areas and continued the fun.

You won't have to worry about being single.. I am headed down by myself and a few other single guys will be there, but there are a mix of couples as well. Nothing to worry about.

I typically stay in the resort, although I usually take clothes to wear to dinner or clubs if my new friends happen to be going and invite me.. I usually spend about $30 on tips between the bartenders, waiters and maids. At the bars, your service will be a lot better with a lot of $1 tips than it will be with a single $20 tip.. At least that's been my experience.

Post a picture so we know who we are looking for!

I should mention that it's $30/day in tips..Not $30 per trip.. I am going for 8 days this time so I am taking $250 in $1 bills and that should be enough to cover me for the entire trip.

Thanks for the replies! What about excursions? Any that any of you would recommend? How much spending money do you think will be adequate for two weeks going to the clubs? We're massive fans of nightlife!

Once up[on a time I would have recommended the Tuesday trip (Through Albatross) to Isla Mujeres, but after my last one, I'll never go back. Like a lot of other companies, Albatross has cut back on quality and it really showed. Not to mention that there is NOTHING to do in IM except shop, and every store has the identical items for the identical price.

It used to be the most fun trip ever, but I was so disappointed last time that I don't think I will ever do it again. I can't speak for other excursions, but I WOULD recommend avoiding the people in the hotel lobby.. They are VERY high pressure and Albatross (Still probably the best to book through them) has the best prices. Most excursions run $50-100/person, depending what you are wanting to do.
