We're looking at booking a return trip (YAY!) for January 2012 and the US Airways option is considerably cheaper even with luggage fees worked into the equation.

Are they a good airline for on-time performance, and will they be likely to re-schedule us or bump us... or will we get to Cancun when the original itinerary says we will?

Any feedback about US Airways is GREATLY appreciated.

The route we'd be taking is Montreal --> Philadelphia --> Cancun. Same for the return flights.

    Thanks!

We almost always fly them as usually they are the cheapest from where we live in Rochester, NY.. Seats might be a little tight depending on your size (I'm 230) and I don't have a prob in coach as that's how we always fly.

I have flown a lot over the years and it's hit or miss.I have had good and bad experience with US Airways and Delta.

How are they for on-time performance and for cancelling flights or bumping passengers? Lost luggage ever an issue?

I'm reading some stuff on airlinequality.com, and it seems they would get 0/10 if that were possible. Yikes!

I'm 6'2" so legroom might be an issue. :(

Never had a prob w/ any of your questions. No lost luggage, usually slightly earlier than scheduled arrival time. Can't give you an answer on your 6'2 frame tho!
Just remember, you'll forget it all after an hour at TTR's Sexy Pool!! LOL ;)

Just worried that even though there's a $600 difference ($300/pp), we want to make it there, to the sexy pool, relatively on-time and with little stress. And preferrably with luggage. Although this is a good excuse to pack in 2 carry-ons and nothing else!

I would also split your clothing between both of your checkins just in case one does get lost.
If you can make it w/ carry-on's alone good luck!! :)
bikini bottoms in the carry-on, tops in the check-in!!! :wink3: :flash: :flash:

Mark your check-ins so that you can locate them easily on the turnstyle! A lot of them look alike!

Just got to remember nobody goes to post a good review on an airline, so all reviews are bad

Your worried about them being on time and losing your luggage?

What about their safety record ,,,lol

We'll just be happy if our pilot is SOBER!! LMAO!! :ernaehrung005:

But we do like most.... pack a change of clothes, our valubles, and swim suites in the carry on, rest in the checked. We DO pack an additional bag the size of a carry on to bring back our goodies!! I take a personal item and a carry on down, and Leah takes just a personal. When we come back, she and I both have a carry on and personal item. People always pack TOO MUCH going down. You'll buy goodies and some clothes (we always do) then can't fit it in coming back.
That being said, I have only lost my bag once (didnt get off the plane when I did) but the airline (delta) had a person drive my bag to my house and drop it off on thier way home!! This was, alas, many years ago, so I'm sure you could not expect that anymore......
