OMG.. your doing fantastic.. I went to check out Curves for women tonight.. i live in a small town so not a lot of choices here for gyms and I have my doubts about the workout so I said to the women wanting to sign me up that i didn't think that you could get any muscle tone from this workout.. well... she took off the little jacket she had on and gave me a flex of her arm ... and to tell you the truth.. i was shocked... she had awesome muscle definition... so i am mulling it over a bit... the problem is i wont be able to exercise for a few weeks come June 20 so.. anyone have an opinion on Curves?
Thanks Kim! I really don't have a choice....I come from terrible genes in regard to health so it's either do this all the way our die way too young. I had a couple of friends who did Curves; seemed to work well if you are eating right too. like you said though it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to do that until after your surgery recuperation. Hope all goes well with that! Will send some extra prayers your way on June 20!
I told the curves lady that I was having surgery and that I would miss pretty much a month or so.. that if she could do something like (not charge me for it) that I would sign up for the year.. so I am going to try the workout tonight and will join if she does that.. I'm thinking that it could be a good addition to what I was doing before my trip in April.. havent really gotten back into things since then.. so I ask myself, whats stopping me from doing it for the 2 weeks before my surgery... NOTHING!! so tonights the night of my first day back at it ... lol
Had my hour long private tennis lesson this morning. It lasted 45 minutes! Lol The tennis pro had to help me into the pro shop at that point because I was about to pass out! Sooooo embarrassing! Now I'm having to ice my ankle and right arm, which feels like it is about to die and fall off! I feel so old!!! I never had to do this when I was playing before!
Oh my.. there is no way I could do any kind of an exercise for an hour with out working up to it.. and you did 45 minutes.. thats awesome .. just give your self a couple days to recover.. dont push it or you wont be able to continue..
ok, i need to get back to this. been out of it the past few weeks after getting some really depressing news... (seems theres a very large chance matt will be moving within a few months) SO... since i seem to be losing my cancun-mate, and i'm not the type that travels alone, i don't have the same motivation as you all anymroe... BUT, i still need to work this flab off. so hope you all won't mind if i still stick around and 'exercise together' with you all, even if i may not be cancun-bound ? i love this thread and you all!! you are great support!!
well that is just silly... of couse you can go on your own because you already met lots of us and you know you would not be alone and that we would all look after you .. you could also find another friend to go... so dont even think about not going again.. and as for getting your butt going again.. concider your butt kicked.. haha!! now whos gonna kick mine..hahah!!!
well after thinking over joining curves.. its just not what i want.. so i did go and join a real gym in town... they have some great classes that i am really excited about and a ton of free weights, every kind of machine you could think of and some i have never seen before. so I did a quick work out tonight as they showed me around and tomorrow will be my first class.. .
I bet you will enjoy that! Good luck and have fun! My arm is still killing me so no yoga or weights for me today. I will get on eliptical in the living room though during Days of Our Lives....lol
Kim, I think that's a good choice on your part! You sound ALOT more enthusiastic about this place.....more enthusiasm=more success!! If they happen to have a boxing class, check it out! I absolutely love it!! GOOD LUCK!! Only did 45 minutes Box-N-Burn last night, late getting off work. That job is really getting in the way of my vacation prep & planning! LOL
