Sorry Fletch but I have go to go with the Dallas Stars, I know that the northerners look at Dallas as a strange place for a hockey team, I have been a hockey fan since watching the Dallas Blackhawks (a farm team for the Chicago Blackhawks) in the late 70's

Fisrst of all I would like to thank the wild for helping my hawks back their way into the playoffs. I know the Nucks are just chomping at the bit to take us down this year. It has been a roller coaster ride for us this year due to the dreaded salary cap purge of 2010, but here we are again. I love playoff hockey! Good luck to everyone's favorite team and let the smack talk begin.

Ahh yes, another playoff season. The playoffs are always fun. Every year it seems like one or two teams get hot late in the season and end up knocking off higher seeds. Who will it be this year? Last year it was Philly and Boston. Could this be the Sabres' year? I've met the new owner and he is just a real down to earth sort of a guy and the team seems to really have responded to him, so we will see who's still standing over the next few weeks. To all your teams, good luck! Oh by the way, did anyone notice that the Leafs aren't in the playoffs again. Sorry to my Toronto friends, but I had to get that dig in!

I'm not sure our Sabres will hang in there with Philly, but we'll see when the next game gets done. So far it has been a very interesting year for the playoffs. Even if Philly does get past Buffalo, I don't see them going very far. To get to the prize in hockey you have to have good goaltending and they just don't have it.

My Goodness. Here it is the Stanley Cup Finals and this thread is quiet. Que Pasa? To top it off we have a Canadian team aded in 1970 going against an Original Six team that hasn't won it all since, oh sometime in the last century. So hockey fans, who is going to be? Will it be the upstart 'Nucks or the big bad Bruins? My guess is that the Cup will end up in Western Canada this year. Vancouver has too many weapons and too much firepower, but it should be a good series.

Don't count the Bruins out. TimTom keeps them in games they should've lost. He's the only goalie that hasn't been pulled in a game this playoff season. Just a great battler. I think injuries might come into play throughout the series and the team that survives or is the most fortunate (with regard to injuries) will be the victor. I'm hoping its the "big bad Bruins".
