Maybe the resort, some how, should make it clearer, in their promos, that it is more teasing than than a free for all, I agree that what all those guys did in April was really bad, they should have been kicked out! And a fight shouldnt be put up with for any reason! But many that come in May where very upset with security, people that never really get out of hand and are multi repeaters, felt like what happened the month before was taken out on them. They will always have people who come there, get drunk, and think they can do what ever they please but that could happen any where. I think that the best thing was that Jamie started talking to the resort so we heard both sides of the story and that someone started a complaint letter where they told the resort that they needed to read Steve's site so they know what we all think about the resort. Just woundering how many people post here a month that go to the resort!
Anyway I had a great time seeing old freinds and meeting new ones, it's really all about the the great staff, how we are treated, and the wonderful people we meet there.

The hotel management are going to drive people away. They allow a group of up to 40+ single guys who cause a fuss and spoil it for everyone then clamp down on the repeaters who know how to behave and still have fun. They will loss a dam site more than 40 people if they keep acting like this.

First of all, fabulous post Jamie; you gave a great synopsis of what has transpired over the past couple months.
What I don't get is, why does another guest have to explain what is going on? It seems to me the resort should be speaking for themsleves, rather than waiting for a guest to clarify the situation. If the resort wants to reset the rules, redraw some lines, that is of course their prerogative. The owners can do whatever they wish; I get that. But it would be nice to know what their plan is, and not be surprised by (in some cases) fairly radical changes.
From what I can gather, there may be a power struggle going on at the highest levels of management relating to ownership succession issues. A couple different people want to redraw some boundaries of what is acceptable, and they're not exactly on the same page regarding where to draw the lines. No, I don't know that for sure, but I've heard it a couple places.
TTR is been a niche resort. It would struggle to attract the generic, run of the mill Hitlon type tourist IMHO. They have 2 really great strengths; their customer base, a truly unique, fun, friendly bunch of people. And their front line staff are the most friendly I've ever encountered anywhere. Because of the staff, coming to TTR feels like coming home. I sometimes almost feel like upper management doesn't do justice to the people that work for them.
What I'd love to see is for TTR to address this whole issue, rather than relying on another guest to clarify it for them. Communication is a wonderful thing. Write a response to some of guests' concerns, clarify what their intent is. Consistent rules, consistently applied, and known (in advance) by everyone would at least let guests know what to expect. No, you can't satisfy everyone. But if you know the rules in advance, there should be a lot less surprise when you get to the resort and find something is no longer acceptable.

Well just got back tonight. Basically the vacation was problem free except for one incident from an idiot at Paty's. He started off throwing ice cubes at guest getting burgers, then through a can of red bull at a couple, then a single male, and then he got my dress soak with red bull while I talked with Harley and Tammy. I didn't stand for that and I got in his face and called my a dink. Johnny then called security on him cause he was worried for mine and Kimber safety. Security occsassionally made passes at paty's and were not there until Johnny called them. Then they were on this guy. Security at the pool was normal. Usually coming around at 5:00 pm. There was alot of naked in the pool and really they didn't do much about it at least that day. I think security is good around paty's and the pool later in the day even though alot would not agree. I know when we got there in April there was alot of single guys and sometimes just going up to the bar to get a drink topless was more than intimidating when we are forced to walk through them to do it.

Since I was the shirtless guy, I would like to point out that if I “space out” at work I catch total HE!! From my clients and have even lost one or two because of it (apologies don't usually cut it in my line of work). Therefore I think it is only fair that the security guard catches it too. It seems to me there is a disconnection between the management and security staff. Have they ever heard of staff meetings? Seems to me they have been doing this long enough to figure it out. FYI - the activities for the day are posted for all to see - right??

As for changes to the activities, I have to agree with Terry and Les. I do not accept their clamp down as needed to provide safety to the guest. As they say in the south - “one bad apple will spoil the whole bushel.” The solution is to remove the bad apple and not throw out the whole bushel.

That being said – I will return to TTR because I have made a lot of friends not only with guests but also the staff members. However, I would like to see management figure out how to balance the mix better. With the exception of “topless optional” the activities the week I was there did not seem to any different than my trip to beach palace. I may be a hard a$$ but if they can't figure out "rated x this week - pg-13 the next" then they need to change their promotions. Sorry but I don't see it as that fracking hard!!!!

Okay, I am finished ranting:aktion047: . Gonna finish my Nth drink for the night and then I’m going to bed.

Every monday at the cigar bar the have a meeting with repeaters with every department manager from security to bell hops entertainment ETC about 20 attended.
Only 6 guests but its new. we attended and found the people we talked to seemed recieptive and honest. I hope they do it long enough (1 YEAR OR MORE)to get a full scope of people.

I have never seen so much drama at a resort in my life. Not a good place for singles at all. Most of the couples don't want to talk to singles guys but single ladies is a different story. There is a click with all the couples that come there the same time every year.
