thanks jamie you took the time out on your vacation to answer alot of questions for the repeaters and TTR virgins of what happened and not rumors that seam to be flying around.we really thank you for keeping us updated
In the UK every time you try to book Temptation either by phone or in a traditional high street travel agency the TA will warn you "You do know Temptation is an adults only resort and it may not be suitable for those who are uncomfortable with adult entertainment ?" or words to that effect. My suggestion would be that in addition to that warning they also instruct TA's to not accept single sex groups of over x persons. In parts of Europe such as Greece, Spain, Turkey etc restrictions on single sex groups at hotels that choose to do so has been in effect for years, I've been away from the UK for 7 years and it was in effect well before I left. There are 2 operators in the UK that I am sure provide >90% of UK Temptation bookings. Telling them they wont accept all of their clients if they send a group like that again isn't an option for TTR I would guess. It would be like telling Funjet or Apple the same. Football season has just finished in the UK, traditionally lots of 20 something guys have an end of season team get away to somewhere exotic and Cancun is becoming more cheap and more accessible. I think there will be more situations like the Liverpool 42 unless something changes, and it is up to TTR to make those changes by instructing their sellers imho.
Jamie, your report really reassured me about our trip coming up in June. Thank you for helping put things into perspective. Things make a whole lot more sense to me now!
Agree with most of the stuff you say, but still dislike there approach. and their biggest BS line is........... Their excuse on the Legality of it ( nudity, sex being illegal ) in Mexico when they allow it at Desires! Seems all the extra security is to protect us from single male groups,,time to fix the problem and stop HARASSING the innocent .
That was great Jamie thank you for the time you put into that post. I agree with you and the resort.. As I've said somtimes we get what we wish for. Before we went we heard alot of complaints that there wasn't enough security, and then we arrived some people found it was to much..
I understand what you're saying but how are they supposed to know who is innocent? Jamie's point about stopping people from having sex in public is valid. How do they know that there is consent? The tipping point between wild fun and a riot is small and easy to go from one to the other.
Well Jamie that was written with alot of thought and alot of logic and common sense. Well said......... S & T
Which is where I was headed in my post(s). I welcome the added security. But, JUST do your job. Make our vacation "secure". Stopping good, clean, innocent fun....because you're worried about the "bad apples" isn't an acceptable excuse (to me). Just eliminate the bad apples.
rdubnpk All I"ve got to say about the whole thing is...............Damn!!!!..........someone's got big enough junk to take out and lay on someone's shoulder???
