I agree totally! We just got back and if you tip, you generally don't stand in line very long. I've walked up and had the drink handed to me before I can even ask. Sometimes they are too good, I've come to the bar to get something different, and they don't give you time to ask! That's not a bad thing. We've tried both giving a rather large tip (like a 20) early on and not tipping drink by drink but I think it's better to give smaller tips here and there. They remember the green much better if they see it often instead of a large one at the beginning of the day.
Your exit tax I think has to be paid in Dollars if memory serves me correct. The exception was when booking through Thomas Cook it was already taken care of. this might have changed though. Have fun
This has changed - we have been home just over a week - you can no longer pay in USD and unfortunately Thomas Cook do not pay it for you!
Thanks for the message....so did you pay in Pesos or GBP? Do you pay this on arrival or exit? & how much was it? Thanks again Trev P.S. I hope you enjoyed yourselves!:aetsch004:
We paid £38 at check in leaving Cancun. You could also pay in Peso but can't remember how much this was - the rep will be able to tell you. We had a great time!
Trev, How much should i tip the Sallope Putes? I'm unsure as i don't want to seem over generous nor too tight. Thanks in advance:anon:
