when i moved here for the first time in 2008 (my brother moved with me) my parents were sad, really sad, their two last babies were moving out (i was 21 and brother 28) they came visit twice during the 10 months i was here, after that i moved back to mexico city to mommy and daddy and after almost two years i convinced them to move here with me, we set the house for sale started looking for ways to bring my doggie, checking out moving buses, everything... one week before i came here to start setting everything up, daddy decided he is too old to move here and start from scratch... i didnt want to move here by myself again... i HAD to

At the moment they are visiting in a shitty hotel at the hotel zone, checking out houses to finally move here, they miss me more than anything else, the rest of my siblings are all way older and married and with kids, plus im a charm :) hahaha

its been real hard for both parts in my case, and we are somewhat closer than the rest of you (the flight to DF is around 2 hours)

oh well... ill stop typing and go enjoy mommy and daddy time :)

I think you're plenty old enough to decide what is the right life decision for you. Yeah you're Mom and Dad might not like it but chances are they dont see things the way you do.

Go do it. You can either say Mom I told you so, or Mom can tell you I told you so. If you dont try it you'll never know and always wonder 'what happened if'.

Life is for living. Take a chance.

I agree completely with Steve. Give it a go - if you dont, you will think about it forever and ever.

I started traveling for longer periods of time at the age of 18. My mom didnt necessarily like it, but she always supported it.

Then she realized that there are HUGE advantages with having a restless son, scooting around the world: Cheap vacations! :D

Thanks to my travels, my mom has now spent 6 months or more in places like New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Canada, USA, Mexico etc.

    Its a win-win, no doubt :)
