Security...for guest safety or to censor guest fun?

They (TTR) keep mentioning they've had complaints from guests about excessive sexual behavior hence the rule enforcement on public displays of anything above a little kiss. ,,,,,,,, OK, who complained, ? If they (TTR) listen so well to complaints why are they not listening to our complaints, which probably outnumber the other complaint 10 to 1

Could it be management wants to change this to a family resort?.

They did bring their kids, yes I said kids to the TTR new years eve party.

Let me offer a bit of different perspective to the security issue that is the hot topic...

We were first timers to Temptations this year staying the last half of Epic week (we met many of you awesome people!). I think in our minds we had expected quite a bit more from it in terms of excitement and craziness. We met several of the "vets" that have been several times and they all said about the same, it was much more tame than years past and most of that was blamed on the increased security. We personally thought the security was over the top and got annoyed with it a few times, both at the pool ( yea it was the whipped cream...lol) and at Patty O's. Hearing what so many said about years past we were somehwat disappointed, maybe a lot disappointed.

Now here is where I can offer a different perspective....we actualy stayed in two resorts this trip, just got back last night. We spent the second half of our trip at another "adult" resort, actually a couple doors down from Desire. HOLY SHIT....I felt like I walked into the most conservative resort and died. The "party pool" as they put it sucked ass, they didn't even play music and their activities were plain boring water volleyball and a couple lame games of guess this or that or some other BS. Within hours I was regretting my decision to ever leave Temptations. And it gets better. This resort is advertised as ADULT ONLY with topless optional. First thing we noticed...not one other woman was topless. My wife at that point told me she was not going home with tan lines after 5 days at temptations so off came the top. You would have thought she just walked out on the deck of the pool completely nude wearing a 12" strap on....you could literally hear the gasps from several people at the pool( lets be honest....several women, husbands didn't mind so much lol). Within an hour she was told that she had to put her top back on and that topless optional was only allowed on the beach, not at the pools. WTF is up with that? Tan lines for her it was...and she wasn't happy about it.

In the end, I came to realize what Temptations did offer, regardless if its currently "tamer" then days past. Unless someone else can show me better, you might want to check around to see what else is out there and expereience the outright boredom such as I did being able to compare Temptations back to back with another so called adult resort. We seriously considered calling temptations asking them to take us back and losing what ever it was going to cost...lol

I agree Temptations is one of a kind and we won't even try the other places cause it can't compare. Not even Temptations Cabo which we did try. Even Hedo which we also tried. The pool parties sucked ass there too and I love temptations cancun so it's our place.

 

Jim I clicked on that link at the bottom of the post that I have quoted and see that your temperature is fluctuating during your period. Hope everything works out Ok for you.

 

Glad to see an opinion of other places compared to Temptations Cancun. I am pretty sure that once the smoke clears that most people, including us, will understand that TTR is like a second home. It isn't about the security and the rules, its about the people you meet while there. Never in my life have I found it so easy to meet new people, and become so close in such a short period of time. In the short time that we have spent there, I believe that we have met some of our best friends, thats what this place is all about.

OMG a guys fertility chart............every 30 seconds. Talk about serious PMS.

 

Our last day was 3/30 and on the 29th I had a problem with one of the single males. No security stepped in but a older male with the singles group pulled the male back into reality? We had no problem that day and had a great time in the pool.

 

Nice job putting things in perspective. I really think the security issue is being blown out of proportion.
