    Security is a Joke

I've felt security at TTR has been a joke for years. They "police" the wrong things. While they are freaked about some innocent body shot action, girls are dancing on the swim up bar stools and one wrong move they crack their head wide open and die. But the body shots are a security threat!!!! Whatever. Did anyone know that you can have sex on the beach at night if you PAY security to keep people away. I always understood that the rule was NO SEX in Public and that inclued sex on the beach. But this year, a nice security guard told me that we could have sex on the beach if we PAID him. Our payment would allow us to have sex and he would even keep others away!! These guys are a joke and it starts with the head of security, not the guys roaming the resort.

Don't get me wrong, we reallly enjoy TTR. We've visited 13 times, I've just came to understand that the weak link at this place is mis-guided security.

    1. That pic showed nothing. In my avatar pic, my wife has my cock out at the restaurant (see?).
    2. I don't like to see people lose their jobs, either. But, as a business owner, I realize it needs to happen from time to time. What I don't like to see is people acting in a manner that brings about their termination.
    3. "Security didn't ruin anyone's trip"? Subjective.

With all due respect, we're just discussing the issues people who recently visited there are having and have had. Are you affiliated with the resort? If not, I'm not sure why these discussions would bother you so. Nothing personal, at all. I promise.

The week we were there we didn't see any problems with security, but they were visable. As far as groups of single guys goes we only saw one group who kept trying to grope women at patios. The security didn't even intervien then.

Am I taking this the wrong way!!! Hello we were, as in Jeff & Deb and Monique and Glenn were there the month of April... so yes we are very aware of the issues people seem to be complaining about. Glenn & Monique are on there way back again this month.
The way I see it these security people are doing what they have been told to do... they are doing the best job they can.
That picture of David should not have been posted.
If I'm taking your post the wrong way I apologize in advance.

I am not affiliated with the hotel at all. I was there last month and I am going back this month again in 12 days. I was there when this whole security issue was supposely so over bearing we couldn't have fun. We had lots of fun and security didn't interfere with any of it to the point where it ruined our day. Security was also not rude and they were just keeping people from getting naked in the pool. I think having been there during that time that I have every right to discuss what is going on with security/single guys. Jobs, as in the US/Canada are hard to come by as in Mexico and I don't think David deserves to have his pic put up here or be fired cause hotel managaement saw it. Here is what i do know though that if i had a pic put up here in my uniform in a provocative pose I could be fired for it so I don't want to see anyone else lose their jobs either because people think it's funny or they just want revenge. Just my opinion.

We just got back and YEs security is still tight. We were told to put away a can of alcohol infused whipped cream we had given to a group that was having some fun with it. the guard was really stern about it! My husband when down at 5:30 to put towels on our chairs and was yelled at by a non english speaking guard. My husband had no idea that it is now taboo to do before 6 am. I saw a guy turned away at Patty Os for no shirt. We moved some chairs out from behind the bush at patty O's and received a real scowl from the guards. When we moved to better seats later he quickly moved them back. Yes they take a stance at Patty Os that reminds me of being watched at my high school dance! I missed some of the fun stuff we used to watch. There must be a happy medium between keeping thing safe but still allowing safe fun!!!

I know I've been reassured that all is fine etc...., but I come from the land where there is more CCTV than any other in the world - the UK. I'm watched and treated like a child by my government on a daily basis.
The whole point of going abroad on holiday is to get away from that, if only for just two weeks.
If security are watching me/us, stopping us from having 'adult' (yet respectful) fun, then I don't think I've booked the right place.
We didn't book Desire as we figured it might be a bit too much. This seemed perfect.
    Now we're starting to wonder.
