Vendors on the Beach of GP?

Are there vendors that sell cigars and other misc items around the GP? I remember that when we stayed at the Riu Cancun, they were all over the place. But I think that I heard that they weren't allowed on the stretch of beach where the GP was. Just wondering. Thanks all!

they probably aren't allowed, but yes. they sell scarves, cigars, jewelry and all kinds of little things. they walk up and down the beach. the beaches are public.

 

That is too funny! I would love to see the book, just to have something to talk about later! LOL

Well, luckily I don't need those anymore ... I didn't get married to use condoms! LOL

just got back from GP on thursday. . . vendors all over the place, respectful, but VERY persistent. Had a great time. . . can't wait to go back. . . lots of people got bumped including us for 2 days to the Great, nice upgrade when we got back however.

 

hey there ... for anyone who has recently been to the GP .... how was the "vendor" situation on the beaches? are they still all over the place?? so, what kind of crap are they selling these days ..... LOL

 

I only saw two while was there a few weeks ago, but I dont spend really any time on the beach either. I think the only time I EVER set foot on the beach was that starry night when me and......ohhh nevermind! LOL

But they sell jewelry, hand made necklaces, bracelets, and sometimes condoms and cigars lol. Sometimes they sell the shells too, the conks or whatever they are called. the guy will blow the conk horn to announce his arrival lol.

 

Lots of vendors last week and if you want something be persistant on what you want to pay. They tried to sell Phil a silver necklace and started at $80.00 and he offered $20.00 and a few minutes later the guy took the $20.00. Otherwise just tell them no, or act like your asleep LOL.
