Security...for guest safety or to censor guest fun?

we got there april 4th before the april addicts n security was already ridiculous!!!

 

That is really disturbing....That almost worries me that people wont want to post here for fear that their vacation may be interfered (I didnt want to say ruined) by tight security. TTR knows about cancuncare and from my past trip it seemed like they were extremely welcoming of our groups...I hope they realize that we are all a good portion of their repeaters and that without us it may become the singles resort its becoming......Not to be dramatic

Tmac..you got it right. The week was still a huge amount of fun but this being our 3rd trip was just a little tamer than in years past. There was some inconsistency with how security dealt with body shots etc but for the most part, our EPIC group carried on as we usually do. On the positive, the resort seemed to have more night time activity than we have seen in the past (Pool Party, DJ's and live band at Patty O's etc. There is certainly not enough of a problem to keep us form going back.

We missed TTR this year but went on the fantastic cruise. We will keep reading about secuirty as we have months before we begin to look for booking options. However, if the resort is tamed down we will consider other options for the first week of March.

I think that management will get the message that the people and the atmosphere are the reason people keep returning, not the resort itself as there are better resorts for the same price, but the loss of the people and the atmosphere makes up for the resorts shortcomings.

How in the hell would the resort be able to control large groups from anywhere when most are booked on non-TTR websites? They need to control the actions of idiots as they occur not those that willingly participate in fun!

I think postage stamp is being a little conservative! Trust me when I say I am glad you were my stand in,lol.
The booze cruise was the highlight of the trip for me.

 

BTW the whole "rumor" thing reminds me of the girl in 6 grade and the disappearing hotdog....

We were there in mid march and did encounter a small group of single guys that were from the UK that had a few out of hand (disrespectful) individuals. Mainly alcohol induced but also from what one of the guys from the group told us was that the booking agency that they went thru had told them that TTR was the place to go because all of the couple there are swinger looking for single guys to share their wife. This was the second time that we had heard this from the group that was there so it was as if it was a fact that was being told in order to book the trip. There needs to be a certain amount of responsibility that both the booking agency needs to assume along with the group of 42 guys on a bachelor party. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that there will be issues when an agency presents a trip to a group looking for fun in that fashion. We have been to TTR 5 times over the last two years and looking to book again but now thinking twice about it. At no time have we ever been in a situation where we felt uncomfortable and Kim is usually the one topless with just a thong and clubwear at nighttime parties. The single gentlemen that we have met at TTR have always been respectful and friendly and always glad to meet so many friendly people on vacation. We do have to say that most are older and not just out of college but are there to enjoy themselves just like anyone else without infringing on anyone.

The one group of single guys from the UK that started getting out of hand was quickly and effectively put in their place when Chino stepped in at the sexy pool one day. They were told that they would be thrown out of the resort if they did not keep it under control. My question is where Chino was when the entire BS was going on and why was this group of 42 was treated differently than the group we encounter in mid March? It worked for them in March and they kept it under control. Why were these 42 permitted to stay when they were causing the issues? Something tells me that if they would have eliminated even 6 or 8 of the group the remaining ones, if any stayed, would have behaved a little differently. Chino is the one that promotes good clean fun but with respect. Had things changed there now and are the sexy pool games still on? If the place has become that toned down version of years past then there is no difference then going to a number of other adult resorts.

Responsibility needs to rest with the individual and the agency that books a group by promoting untruths and unruly behavior. Guess the short term profits were too much to pass up even thou the long term profitability will most likely suffer.
