Security...for guest safety or to censor guest fun?

I wouldn't cancel because it's the people you're with that make the trip. As many have said.. security might be harsh but they didn't let it ruin their good time.

Trust me when I say that having fun is totally up to you.

 

We can have fun at a family reunion. But, that's not the atmosphere we're used to when we vacation.

It's kind of the principle of the whole thing, to us.

What kind of resort are you marketing? What's the reality? Are you going to let a few obnoxious pricks ruin everyone's fun?

I asked them some very pointed questions. I'm looking forward to their repsonse.

We are FAR....I mean FAR from complainers. Like I said, if we have issues with other guests (barring a 42-45 crew), we'll handle it without the aid of mgmt..

But, this HS chaperone talk is VERY disheartening.

 

I wouldn’t cancel either, there wasn’t any issues when we were there.

 

As I posted before we had a great time and no big issue with security but yes they were there.I guess as the fog has left my head and I think about it the place has tamed down some.We ask one of the cast about it and we were told that they were thinking about having only so many rooms for singles and when they are sold thats it. We have met so many single people there that make it fun for all and they make it their vacation spot but when they book a group of 42 single males do the math

You're totally right Ian. Not only are the other guests 99% awesome people, so are the peeps that work at TTR; waiters, bartenders, maids, grounds crew, entertainment staff, front desk, etc. Security, for the most part, is just doing as instructed by upper management. In the past, security has certainly enjoyed the "show". I'd guess being young guys, they generally hate having to "crack down". The unfair part is, if people plan for special stuff (ie. whipped cream shots or whatever), and then find it's not allowed at the moment, but may be again in a few weeks, it makes it tough to plan your visit. Yes, TTR is fun regardless, in large part because of the great folks. But it seems uncalled for to have security come down on what has always been generally accepted behavior at TTR, all in reaction to a 42 person out of control group. Reasonable rules, consistently applied seems reasonable to ask for.

 

I spoke to a young lady who said she was the assistant manager, while we were there in April.

She said that they had received complaints over the last few months about thing getting too far out of hand. They were trying to restore TTR to a place that was somewhere between a standard adult only resort and a place like Desire or Hedo.

I told her that I thought they were going too far and that there were probably be a backlash if they continued. even if the security guards don't say anything the presence of so many is unnerving.

I did have several conversations with the guards. Really nice guys... not your typical gestapo type guys...lol. When they did intervene somewhere they were very polite. Like when I tried to play my guitar late at Paty'O's once night. They helped us locate to a place at the beach and later in front of the Asian restaurant.

Ultimately, it really is a shame. It only takes a few "prudes" to get things shut down. TTR should be a "live and let live" environment. But even among the regulars you will find differences. Some people are fine with PDA's some not. Some fine with balcony shows, some not. Some fine with public sex, some not. Some fine with male nudity, some not. And so on and so on...

 

We just got back last nite...we had fun with out group, but security are cowards after the wrong stuff!!!! the was a small group of single males there about 9, one went up and untied monicas bikini top and one of our group (Craig) stepped in...thx craig!! where was security for this...another friends fiance was groped by a drunk guy at the swim up bar... he told me about this, i wanted to handle it, but wanted a place to sleep ( not in mexico jail) so i told the securty guard (david) and pointed the fool out..he did nothing....i asked him if he understood english...he said yes...still did nothing...cowards!!!! a guy won the belly flop contest by getting naked and doing the flop....ok thats cool, buy monica cant wear a bikini top after the pool party saturday to patty o????? really? come on!!!!! TEMPTATIONS SECURITY SUCKS!!!! this was our 5th trip, it has never been like this before...We are seriously going to seek another destination next year

 

Yeh, we weren't sick we all had '' allergies'' lol

 

It is good to get recent updates. After our late March trip our group is considering going elsewhere. If the resort goes back to 2009 rules we will all be back. If this continues we will all go elsewhere.

 

Partydollgirl - If there was a rumor going around about me or a group I was with I would like to know so I could put a stop to it. When asking around the resort why security had been increased the April Addicts were being included with the bachelors. Thanks for clearing up that the April Addicts were not out of control and not responsible for the increased security. We just want TTR to remain the fun, sexy place we have all grown to love.
