''What really happened in April?'' We got screwed. Thank you group of 42 Thank you Management for overzealous security Thank you for denying you TTR had a virus problem at the resort Thank you for the 10 pounds I lost ( really) Thank you for curtailing the sexual atmosphere the week we were there. Even with all that we will probably be there next year cause of the great staff and people that Visit TTR. Hopefully things go back to normal and they Ban "larger'' groups of singles
When we were there the last week of April there were a couple of men's soccer teams from Argentina there. We were afraid that there was going to be a repeat from the end of March group but thankfully there wasn't. This group of guys were so respectful and all in all great guys. So it just goes to show we can't stereotype. D
Banning larger groups of singles goes further then being trouble makers, which would be stereotyping as you say. It ruins the sexual charged vibe of TTR. I'm sure some women don't mind having there choice of 30 soccer players but it does not fit into my ideal vacation ie, going for supper and your one of only a few couples in the restaurant.There are numerous groups of single males, being loud but not necessarily misbehaving, sort of ruins the vibe. ie , Lingerie night, men outnumbered women 3 to one (Jan) . Again they were behaving, but not the atmosphere or vibe you want. I have met single guys there that were great, but never any from large groups. There is no easy answer or solution, I,m just ticked off at the way TTR management picked specifically on the April group, They will never post when a large group, ie soccer team, is coming cause they know they will get hundreds of cancellations. TTR with these rules is just another adult only resort and will eventually fail TTR is turning its back on what made them successful
Some of those guys were adorable....it was a Lawyers League from Argentina.....so they were wealthy to boot . Very charming guys that weren't at the resort much cause of their games. Bottom line is the hotel gets to fill rooms when faced with groups. Extra $ in the owners pocket. Thinking he cares more about that then the "sexy" vibe.
Hey Maclan, Alysia and I had the pleasure to eat breakfast with you and Carrie. I have to agree with you. We were told by a staff member after we asked why all the security, were told after the group of 42 guys and all the hassle with them that they are concidering not allowing a group that size to come down again
With all due respect (and noting that Dan wasn't responsible....), there's a HUGE difference in taking your own top off.......and someone else (you don't know) doing it for you. Think about it.
I was meaning that she blamed the wrong person, which made our april group look worse, since there is a rumor going around..... Then she said mentioned something along the line of her having to much class to take her top off or something, then did it any way.. Of course no one should touch any one else top, but if your going to run to security, make sure you get it right.. people could get into a lot of trouble for her misunderstanding..
the other (much larger) bottom line is that those whom have vacationed here as repeaters for many years so that they can enjoy that "sexy" vibe will find other places.... just sayin rob
