Security...for guest safety or to censor guest fun?

we got there april 4 n that group of 42 were long gone(march) yet we paid the price. First day we were stopped from doing body shots. Had to talk to Chinos n the next day he came to the pool bar w us n did the body shots without security interferring. I've seen some crazy shit at TTR over the years n they were never any issues, but this year we were totally censored(except our visit at the quiet pool for some reason LMFAO). Go figure

 

For the record, the OP DID say that the April Addicts thing was part of the RUMOR floating around the resort.

We find this whole conversation extremely troubling. The LAST thing we want on our much needed vacations is drama and censorship. We've been to Desire several times, and thought we'd give TTR a try. If ANY of this is happening when we arrive, it'll either be:

1. Igonored
2. Changed
3. A shortened visit

It makes my blood boil, just thinking about it.

Listen.....if there's not an overly large group of single men in the crowd......doesn't the crowd typically tend to police itself (in regards to pushy men)? If you see an issue with a pushy single (or married) guy, for God's sakes diffuse it. It doesn't have to be anything physical (but, don't be above it). But, it's NEVER OK TO BE A RUDE PRICK.

Other than the above (that we can't handle on our own).....LEAVE US ALONE!

The security was a bit over bearing in April. What makes the situation worse is managements inability to figure out where the problem is. Just a hint, but it might have something to do with allowing soccer teams, the royal marines and large groups of guys throwing bachelors party to attend the resort.

 

I'm wondering where this rumor came from that the April Addicts got out of control?? We were there and didn't see anyone from the group get out of control, the only outta control was security..

most likely from some prude that ended up at the wrong resort. What we all would consider fine they could consider out of control.

 

So lets post on a public forum a rumor, then say it really doesnt matter the why or who. How do rumors get started, people continue to share information that is not true and obviously he was quit willing to believe that the April Addicts got out of hand or he wouldnt have posted it on this board. that is my point..

 

I think i met that prude. She told me she had too much respect for herself to go topless so i asked her if all these other topless girls had no self respect!! So she proceeded to go to front desk n say i tried to take her top off??? funny thing is shortly after that she was topless for hours

 

Let me preface this by saying we had an incredible time when we went at the end of April!!

However.... we went to Cancun expecting it to be MUCH crazier than Cabo, and that wasn't the case at all. It must of been because of the extra tight security this April in Cancun though... it really does suck when the rules change because of one group of assholes.

lol if we did some of the same shit we did in Cabo last year, I'm thinking we probably would have been arrested!! :azzangel:
